Two clubs separated by only four points in the German 2. Bundesliga table meet at the Preussenstadion on Saturday lunchtime as 11th-placed Preussen Munster hosts 16th-placed Dynamo Dresden in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Alexander Ende’s hosts have scored 13 goals across their opening eight matches in the 2. Bundesliga this term, with seven (54%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
Die Adler have made the net bulge in each of their opening eight league outings this campaign – notching on multiple occasions in four (50%) of them – and will be confident of continuing their goal-scoring streak against a Dresden defence that has yet to record a clean sheet since their promotion to the German second tier, shipping 16 goals.
Thomas Stamm’s visitors have scored 12 goals across their opening eight matches back in the German second tier, with six (50%) of them coming on their travels.
SGD have only failed to score at home to Schalke (1st) and away at Darmstadt (3rd) – scoring 2+ goals in 5/8 (63%) of their encounters – and will look to trouble a Munster backline that has also yet to register a clean sheet in the 2. Bundesliga this season, shipping multiple goals in three of their past four.

Given the goal-scoring form both sides have been in this season, coupled with them still awaiting their first clean sheets of the campaign, I’m expecting a high-scoring encounter in North Rhine-Westphalia on Saturday lunchtime.
