After making it an incredible 11 winners from the past 12 in Sweden on Sunday, Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the second Nations League semi-final, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection.

European champions Spain face France in the semi-finals of the Nations League in Stuttgart on Thursday night in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Luis de la Fuente’s men have fired in 18 goals across their opening eight Nations League fixtures this campaign, with eight (44%) of them coming across their last three away from home.
La Roja have found the back of the net in each of their previous seven Nations League contests – notching on multiple occasions in six (86%) of them – and will look to breach a French defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their four Nations League clashes away from home.
Didier Deschamps’ men have slammed in 14 goals across their opening eight Nations League encounters this campaign, with nine (64%) of them coming on their travels.
Les Bleus have found the back of the net in six (75%) of their Nations League fixtures – striking 2+ goals in five (63%) of them – and will look to breach a Spanish backline that has kept just three clean sheets across their previous 12 matches in all competitions, shipping multiple goals in each of their last three.

Spain’s previous 12 matches in all competitions have averaged 3.33 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in an impressive nine (75%) of them, including in each of their last four.
France’s previous five competitive clashes outside of their homeland have averaged 3.40 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score landing in four (80%) of them – including a 2-1 loss in Germany against their upcoming opponents in the semi-finals of last summers Euros – and backing goals at both ends is my preferred play in this one.
