IT'S the final night of a packed European treble but there's a chance it could be the most entertaining yet.
There's the general feeling that the Europa League throws up ties that are better balanced than its elite counterpart and I think that much is true with this round of games.
Bayer Leverkusen v Villarreal
Bayer Leverkusen go into this match as one of just three teams that remain unbeaten in the competition – and boasting a home record of four wins from five.
Strong at the back, the Germans have lost just once at the BayArena in 11 games. but they'll be without stopper Manuel Friedrich. Their main threat in attack is Stefan Kiebling and he's 15-8 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Villarreal are also in great form and boast one of the best front pairings in the Europa League, with Giuseppe Rossi (he's scored six goals in eight games and is 2-1, Stan James) and Nilmar (23-10, Paddy Power) leading the line.
This is a really difficult one to call and there's value in a draw (12-5). Take both teams to score (10-11, William Hill) in an entertaining tie – but If I'm pushed, I think Leverkusen might sneak the win (21-20, totesport).
CSKA Moscow v Porto
There's a bit of a hoodoo hanging over this fixture for CSKA having not only lost but failed to even net in the last four meetings with the Portuguese outfit.
And they've reason to be fearful again with the competition's top scorer Falcao in the blue and white. He's 13-8 at Boylesports to find the net – be careful, as I believe he's listed under two names with Falcao Garcia paying out more than Radamel Falcao. Tomas Necid is the man for Moscow (12-5, bet365).
CSKA have lost just once in their last 21 games in a near six month stretch but they've also lost 16 goals in their European run this term. This is another one for both teams to score (evens, Bluesquare) with Porto having not kept a clean sheet in six European matches.
I think Porto might just edge it in a close one (9-5, Boylesports).
Ajax v Spartak Moscow
There's not any bad teams left in the tournament at this point so looking at the scorers market, especially in this one, might be a safer bet.
Both sides like to attack and, although still suffering from the loss of Luis Suarez, Ajax can rely on Serbian striker Miralem Sulejmani (13-8, Paddy Power) and Mounir El Hamdaoui ( 13-10, Paddy Power) to provide the firepower with a goal anytime. Spartak's key choice is Brazilian Welliton (11-4, Skybet).
Add this to the both teams to score list (5-6, bet365) and if not the draw (13-5, Paddy Power), an Ajax win (8-11, Skybet)
Recommendations
- Both Teams To Score in all three games (6-1 at Skybet)
- Giuseppe Rossi to find the net (2-1, Stan James)
- A draw no bet treble on Leverkusen, Porto and Ajax pays close to 3-1 at Paddy Power.
