THE Monday night NFL match sees two teams go head to head with only pride at stake.
Both Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints are out of the play-off running and both sit bottom of their division.
The Lions, whose record stands at won four lost nine this season, are 13-10 at William Hill to grab the away win.

Rich the one good thing about it is that its on national tv, and players tend to want to put on a show because they know people will be watching. This will still be a good game but waiting on news of a couple Lions players.
Think Amir Abdullah can easily get 38.5 yards on the ground for the Lions. They have the worst ranked rush defense but that’s mostly because they are passing so much because they trail in games so their averages will always be down. In three of their four wins this season he has carried over ten times and gone over this total. I’m not saying they’ll win but they have every chance and a better chance would be to keep the ball out of Drew Brees’ hands. Think you can make a case for all of these.

Early thoughts on the NBA tonight, big card to play with. Really like the looks of the Spurs to get a big win against a Pacers team who are poor on the road. I also expect Houston to keep up their good home form against a Charlotte team which has been woeful away from home. I also see the Bulls beating the Nets tonight in Chicago but whether they can cover the -10.5 spread is a completely different story.

Just a heads up guys, Lillard and C.J McCollum are both not playing for Trail Blazers tonight.
Because of this the line has jumped from Hawks -7 to -11.
Going to take this now and maybe add something later. Last week the Giants running back Rashad Jennings had a rush total of no more than 35 yards, purely based on his average stats. Tonight we see the same low total for Abdullah based on his rush averages, but should have a better game against one of the worst defences in the league. He took a run for 36 yards against the Packers and 24 against the Eagles, one of those tonight is half or close to the full total.

Don’t like to blow my own trumpet though Ross mate. Just proves bookies can be beaten. I’ll be losing a bit of that soon after my division bet goes out the window (probably next week) and few more of my ante posts but, by the time the season is over I’ll be happy if I end up with at least 50 points profit so plenty to play with.
Credit where credit is due mate. Think a lot of people underestimate how difficult it is! Its one thing to put up a few winners here and there but to show that kind of consistency over a season is no mean feat.

Hi Chris. I’m not really keen on TD scorer markets. I do them sometimes but I find more risk on somebody scoring rather just getting their given yards. With some teams its easier as they’ll have a standout go to scorer in the red zone. If I had to pick a couple tonight, depending if he plays, Calvin Johnson for Detroit would be a pick but he’s odds on in most places. Value picks would be Theo Riddick @ 21/10 and Marques Colston @ 9/4. Its fairly difficult with these two teams as they have a wide variety of different scorers on any given day.
