ANDY MURRAY'S back in action at the US Open tonight against Matthias Bachinger and should ease through as long as he doesn't suffer from cramps as he did against Robin Haase in the previous round.

The Scot said he'd never felt worse on a tennis court but somehow battled through to win in four sets. Murray is no bigger than 1-12 to win at 888sport. I he's fully fit Murray should win in three and is 1-2 at Betfred to do so.

Ad's been leading the way with the tennis tips so watch out for his comments and those from others contributing.

The Italian Open golf has started and I'm on Matteo Mannassero and Emilio Grillo, both each-way, at 28-1 and 50-1 in Italy on a course that suits accurate players.

Ace Venturer has picked out five players in the Deutsche Bank Open which starts tomorrow and he needs one to win for six tournament victories in a row.

Meanwhile, if you have tips on any sport put them up here.

    Long time no speak AD!

The gambling world has been unkind to me recently and my funds have took a big hit. Surprisingly on the snooker which I’m usually quite successful at !

However thought id share a tip I’m extremely confident on ….

Nick Kyrgios to win vs Andreas Seppi 4/6 bet365

I’ll pop the reasoning up later as I’m about to go to work lol …. For those of you who aren’t fans of short price singles consider adding

Phillip Kolschreiber to win vs Michael Llodra 1/5 betvictor

Just to hit the EVS boundary. I think the kolschreiber is all but guarenteed as the odds suggest

    Repost from yesterday’s thread:

    Cycling: Vuelta stage 6

Great stage to look forward to tomorrow. First serious test with a spectacular finish on a very steep hill. The leaders jersey is up for grabs tomorrow, because this stage will be to hard for race leader Matthews. I think we will see a uphill sprint with all the GC contenders.

I will be on below match-ups, winner in capitals:

    KELDERMAN v Samuel Sanchez
    EVANS v Gesink

    Double @ 2.13 with 888Sport (Bet365 @ 2.30)

Kelderman already showed in the Giro he can be with the best on these extreme steep finishes and was also with the best (4th) on the first uphill finish last Monday. Sanchez is not as goods as he was in the past and with Kelderman’s current form I can’t see him get to the line first.

Evans also showed he is still kind of a specialist on these finishes. He had some good results in the Giro on similar stages and is tough to beat. Gesink is on his way back, but isn’t a fast finisher and is better on the longer (less steep) climbs.

  3. Iddy 10 years ago

That’s a nice double Ellis – I am also on Kyrgios today. Was very impressed v Youzhny on Monday.
My safeish nap is as follows:
    Kyrgios d seppi
    Azarenka d Mchale
    Mayer d Ebden
    Pays 1.46/1 on will hill
I’ll post a riskier treble (that should still win!!) later and a couple of singles I like the look of. I’m just waiting for a couple matches to be priced up on the handicaps.

  4. GAZ B 10 years ago

Not one of my best picks of the week, which I’ll post today but RABBITOHS -6 10/11 to try earn some money for horses

  5. GAZ B 10 years ago

Little bit dissapointed as Warrington were
Going to be one of my rugby picks -6 @ evns seemed good value, now I have checked they have changed the handicap to -10 , this shows there a reason the
Bookies think Warrington. Have more chance for whatever reason, however it almost doubles the point handicap so bet sensibly :)

  6. Ad 10 years ago

Good to see you back Ellis.

I look forward to reading your reasoning. It’s a matchup my gut says Kyrgios will win, and if he plays his best tennis he will, but the last time I saw him play was against Murray when he really struggled so It’s not something I can call with confidence as seppi is steady and will get the ball back and make him play an extra shot. His serving stats from his match v Youzhny do look pretty impressive though.

On the mens side today I fancy
    Karlovic, Mayer, Paire (!!)

    On the womens I fancy
    Strycova, dellacqua, stosur, bouchard

My banker NAP is likely to be:
Garcia lopez to win a set v Querrey
Kuznetsov to win a set v Verdasco

Which pays exactly evens with Ladbrokes. I will Finalise my tips and post reasoning when I get in at around 13:00. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts chaps

Excellent info again today guys quick question and prob me being a tool again but can’t seem to find how to do a player to win one set as per Ad’s tips I can’t see all the to win 3-1 etc but no single sets

-6 was evens at betfair/skybet last night and

Why I am a bit more on the fence

Whenever you see stan james go the shortest in the markets handicaps then it is a good thing.I have found they are the best informed bookie when it comes to rugby.

  10. Iddy 10 years ago

Wato – good question. I don’t think B365 or will hill do that market. Hence why I never post ‘to win a set’ bets. Wish they did as it can be very profitable as Ad says.
If u can get on Ads 2 to win a set picks I would as they seem solid picks as both are capable of winning the match never mind 1 set.

  11. Ad 10 years ago

I think it may just be Sky bet, PPower and Ladbrokes that do the “to win a set” market. I’ll put up some other tips for people who can’t play those markets.

  12. Iddy 10 years ago

    Here are 3 singles I like and am on today;
    Hercog +5.5g v Makarova 4/5
    Gojowzcyk +5.5g v Raonic 6/5
    Mathieu +9.5g v Djokovic 4/5
    Treble pays 6.2/1
Small stakes if u r on these.

  13. GAZ B 10 years ago

Rabbitohs in, let’s hope Warrington can do the business as well

  14. Ad 10 years ago

    Thursday’s tips:

    NAP:
Guillermo Garcia Lopez to win a set v Querrey
Andrey Kuznetsov to win a set v Verdasco

    Double pays 1/1

    NB
    Azarenka d Mchale
    Bouchard d Cirstea
    Nishikori d Andujar
    Mayer d Ebden

    pays 6/5

And for anyone after a longer odds shot:

    Coric d Estrella
    Mayer d Ebden
    Zahlavova Strycova d Niculescu
    Bouchard d Cirstea
    Stosur d Kanepi
    Paire d Carreno Busta
    Azarenka d Mchale

    pays 7.24 with Ladbrokes

    Good luck everyone.

  15. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – I have to agree on all your pics on the longer acca, I have taken all of the ones selected to win today as well. Coric/ Zahlavova would probably be the ones who might let it down. Coric cos of inexperience and Zahlavova because of her mentality.
What do u think on my game handicaps? Matthieu would be the worry as Djoko could blitz him. And Gojo could freeze.

  16. Stormin 10 years ago

Mr Orange did your cycling double come in?

    • Mr. Orange 10 years ago

They are not finished yet Stormin, about an hour of racing to go.

  17. Sam 10 years ago

After all 3 bets I posted yesterday lost, I managed to get my stakes back thanks to Sousa, Lisicki and Granollers/Lopez all winning and the Bryan brothers winning 2-0. That 4-Fold paid 3.17/1.

After being lucky to break even yesterday, I am keeping it simple today and like the look of the 4 women’s selections Ad has already mentioned.

Dellacqua, Strycova, Stosur and Bouchard all to win pays 2.09/1 and I will be on that.

With a slightly smaller stake, I will also be backing Dellacqua, Stosur and Bouchard to win 2-0 at 5.29/1.

Good luck to others with their bets today.

Ad, am I right in thinking Karlovic doesn’t play until tomorrow?

  18. Sam 10 years ago

All odds on my previous post are from bet365.

  19. Ad 10 years ago

    Id-
Novak is always capable of obliterating someone like Matthieu, but if Novak wobbles like he has done a bit recently, or if Matthieu plays very well, it’s a manageable handicap to cover. Not one i’d really want to back myself though. Same with Raonic really. He is very capable of blowing Gojo away in three comfortable sets. Gojo looks to have served v well in his first match though so you never know, he could keep it fairly tight. He’ll be confident after his week so far and his win over Milos in Halle. Raonic isn’t the world’s greatest returner so this kind of bet always has a chance against someone who’s serving well.

Like you I think the Hercog one is probably the safest pick, she’s very capable of making this competitive on her day but I haven’t seen her play in a while.

  20. GAZ B 10 years ago

I’ll keep that in mind SAM cheers

  21. Ad 10 years ago

yeah that’s right Sam. I thought he was playing today but it’s not till sometime tomorrow

  22. Sam 10 years ago

Fair enough Ad, well like I said, haven’t done much thinking for myself today. Saw your 4 women’s picks and liked the look of them so I am just backing them today.

  23. Ad 10 years ago

Best of luck Sam, I hope they come good.

They should all so the business but it’s never as easy as that. Aside from my NAPs I’m sticking to small stakes for now as the upsets keep coming this week.

  24. Sam 10 years ago

I’ve also just backed Azarenka, Stosur and Bouchard to win 1st set and the match.

    Good luck all.

  26. Sam 10 years ago

    Warrington Wolves v Huddersfield Giants

Super league returns after taking a week off for the Challenge Cup. The Halliwell Jones Stadium is the venue as both these two sides are trying to catch St Helens at the top of the league. The Wolves are favourites for this match and are giving up 8 points on the handicap.
Warrington lost centre or stand-off Chris Bridge with a hamstring strain in their last match a fortnight ago and Huddersfield discovered that second rower Simon Grix, whose older brother Scott plays for the Giants, turned an ankle in training this week.

Huddersfield are making a late surge up the league to try and grab a home game in the playoffs. They have won their last four matches but will be without Joe Wardle and Brett Ferres.

Warrington are tough ones to read one week their brilliant and the next the aweful. They lost to Leeds in the cup semi final after a slow start saw them 14-0 down at half time. Warrington have lost 3 of their last 5 games and one of those wins was against Castleford who made wholesale changes to their team ahead of the cup final. Chris Bridge misses the game, but one positive for the Wolves fans is they have the wood over the Giants winning each of the last five matches.

These two sides love to get the ball out wide and Joel Monaghan is super league top try scorer but is 8/13 best price. I have opted for Centre Ryan Atkins who is in fine form scoring in each of his last seven matches. Atkins is 11/8 Ladbrokes.

    ATKINS TO SCORE 11/8

Good luck if your having a bet

  37. Sam 10 years ago

Unbelievable Ad, I know they say it is quite windy there today making it slightly more difficult to serve, but this is beyond a joke!

Now 2-2 in the decider… 4 breaks of serve!

  38. Sam 10 years ago

Waheeeey! Finally a hold of serve! Come on Barbora!

  39. Ad 10 years ago

It’s just shocking isn’t it Sam! No wonder Serena rules. She can actually hold her own serve

  40. Iddy 10 years ago

Sorry for doubting Novak guys! +9.5 Mathieu what was I thinking!!
Hopefully Kyrgios wins later and the nap comes in. Conditions tough in NYC today, very windy.

  41. Ad 10 years ago

Always a bit of risky one to back against Novak on a handicap. If he’s playing well his return game is just so good he’s favourite for every game against lesser mortals.
I see Stosur is doing a classic Stosur, went 5-0 down in set 2 after bossing the first. Paire busted my acca, should never have trusted him. Need Bouchard to win for the NB to land after the NAP was smashed by Querrey.

    Cycling: Vuelta stage 7

It looks like a hard stage on the profile, but it’s quite an easy stage and the sprinters who can survive a hill will sprint for the win. Not a lot of match-ups I fancy. But…

I will be on below match-up, winner in capitals:

    MONDORY v Martens
    Single @ 2.50 with 888sport

Based on the fact Mondory sprinted in all stages where he had a chance is enough for me. Martens had 2 stages where he didn’t sprint at all.

  46. Iddy 10 years ago

    Yesterday’s summary:
    nap won at 1.3/1
I was 1/3 on the singles I posted of games handicaps. Let down by Hercog and Mathieu, but I really shouldn’t have gone against Novak. So overall was a very small profit.
Not much sticks out today so will see what Ad/ Sam and Ellis come up with and might have to go with them.

  47. Ad 10 years ago

My NAP tanked yesterday with Garcia Lopez rolling over for Sam Querrey, but the NB came in with Bouchard coming through in three sets in the late match. Azarenka Nishikori and Mayer all cruised.

    Friday Tips:

    NAP
    Venus d Errani
    Sharapova d Lisicki
    Jankovic d Larsson

    pays 9/10

This is a short price but it’s as close to a banker as I’m going to get this week. Clearly that’s not to say there’s no chance something very unexpected will happen, but I cannot see anything other than a win for all three of these favourites.
Venus has too much power for Errani and is playing really good tennis this season. She hasn’t played Errani for 2 years, but all three of their meetings have been complete blowouts, with errani never winning more than a total of 5 games in any of their matches.

Sharapova might wobble here but Lisicki will do the same. In the end, it’s very hard to see Sharapova not coming through in this matchup as she is more than a match for Lisicki in every department, especially the mental one. She will fight to the death and step it up when it matters most. Maria leads the head 2 head 5-1, with that sole defeat coming on grass. Expect that to read 6-1 tomorrow.

Jankovic should have too much of everything for Larsson to handle. She played a solid game but was really handed her ticket to the second round by an erratic and immature Sloane Stephens, and Jankovic won’t beat herself in the same way. They met twice last year and Jelana won 6-2, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0. This one may be a little closer, but I can’t see past a win for Jankovic.

    Nb
Smyczek to win a set v Bautista Agut
Tomic to win a set v Ferrer
Thiem to win a set v Gulbis

The last time Bautista Agut and Smyczek met it was a straight sets blowout at the Australian open this year. But Bautista Agut was in fantastic form then whereas Smyczek had hardly played for a couple of months. Right now Smyczek is in good form. He fired 18 aces to 2 doubles in his last match, which he won in 4 sets, while Bautista Agut needed 5 sets and 4 hours to get past a rusty and fairly lowly opponent in Haider Maurer. This should be a lot closer than their last encounter. Home advantage will also help Smyczeks cause.

Tomic has the power, and the form, to suggest he can make this meeting with Ferrer competitive. He will probably fall short and be worn down by Ferrer in the end, but Ferrer is vulnerable to aggressive tennis and Tomic will certainly bring that to the table. He fired down 20 aces to 0 doubles in his first round straight sets win over Dustin Brown. Ferrer is in decent form but he’s tended to drop sets even when he’s been winning recently. Unless he has a complete mental collapse, I expect Tomic to get a set here.

Thiem showed enough in his first round match to give him hope of running Gulbis close here. He smashed Lacko in straight sets and will take confidence from that. Another thing he has going for him is his opponent’s erratic nature. Gulbis has the edge in experience at this level and on this surface, and i’d expect him to come through, but I think Thiem is good enough to make him work hard for the win.

    Single
    Sharapova to win 2-1 @ 10/3
I have to tip this as i think it’s 50/50 as to whether it comes in. Sharapova loves to tease us by dropping a set and flirting with an upset before going up a gear and coming through.

    Good luck one and all

  48. JW 10 years ago

I can not for the life of me see how cavs are favourite for the NBA title, yeah they’ve brought in big names but they will not be able to compete with the big western conference teams.

  49. Ad 10 years ago

This isn’t a tip, but for my longer line today i’m taking:
    Peng
    Janowicz
    Karlovic
    Safarova
    Venus

    which pays 9/1

  50. Iddy 10 years ago

JW – who you got as fav for nba title then? Is it Spurs again or OKC?
Oh and a question around conference winners – is the winner the one who wins the regular season or the one who makes it all the way to the final??

  51. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – I can’t do to win a set bets but one i think will come in today is Granollers v Karlovic. Not sure if the odds are worth it though.
Looking forward to staying up and watching the fed tonight – if Groth is +8.5 or more on handicaps I might be tempted though.

  52. Iddy 10 years ago

Oh and Delbonis to win a set would be another one I think will come up.

  53. Ad 10 years ago

He’s just 3/10 with Ladbrokes to get a set. so i’m not going to touch that. it’s not worth the risk against someone as good at serving as Karlovic.

    What are you on today?

  54. Wato 10 years ago

On your confident treble again today Ad

  55. Outlaw 10 years ago

    Well done Chief

What are your thoughts on Leeds/Saints, I’ve had some of the Saints +6 hoping Rhinos have been celebrating too hard this week.
Saints have had 2 weeks to prepare and will be going hard to finish top, might be worth backing on the outright tonight as well

  56. Sam 10 years ago

Ad, Iddy, how much confidence have we got in Karlovic today?

I placed a sizeable stake on a treble last night:
    Go Soeda to win 2-0 @ 8/11
Bouchard to win @ 1/2 (this was in play at the start of the 3rd set.)
    Karlovic to win @ 4/9

The first 2 selections landed and I can currently cash out for profit. However, this profit will double if I let the bet run and Karlovic wins.

    Thoughts?

  57. Dazzler 10 years ago

    Yankees @ Tigers
Yankees @ 1.8 *top pick* *LOST*

    Brewers @ Royals *LOST*
    Royals @ 1.69

Another poor day. I did say it was a tough card and it shows. Games don’t start till midnight (bst) so I’ll do my research and be back later. Hopefully with a couple of winners tonight.

  58. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – I am not currently on anything at the moment. I like 2/3 of your nap but not sure in shazza. Just with the way the wind is, I think she might serve a load of doubles and I think it could be a close one. I’m tempted to replace her with Fognini.
Then just do a Hollywood handicaps 10 fold acca for a £1.

  59. Iddy 10 years ago

Sam – I’m the opposite of Ad but I don’t rate Karlovic as anything other than a big serve. I expect any decent player to be able to beat him and so expect Granollers to win. Having said that Granollers is a bit of a bottler and will probably fold from the barrage of aces. Granollers in 4 is my tip

  60. Ad 10 years ago

Who is your bet with Sam?
Karlovic should win, and barring a retirement I expect him to do so. But it’s up to you whether the risk is worth taking.

  61. Ad 10 years ago

I can’t see fognini as being the most reliable replacement for a perceived risky pick!! Clearly he should win, but he’s capable of losing to anyone anytime. I reckon karlovic is a better pick as you know what you’re getting with him and granollers.

A double I fancy quite strongly for tomorrow is Kyrgios/ d Robredo and Isner d Kohlschreiber. I also rate Mayer as much better than a 3/1 shot at beating Nishikori.

  62. Ad 10 years ago

if you have any doubts Sam just take the money. Profit is profit. you might kick yourself a bit if he wins but you’ll be fuming if he loses. you’re better saving your money for a bet you don’t have many doubts about. Though I do think the big man will win! Nieminens a better player than Granollers IMO and Karlovic has beaten better than both of them recently.

  63. Sam 10 years ago

The bet is with bet365 Ad! Funny how I was completely confident when placing it yet now I can cash out I am considering my options haha!

In all honesty, I think Karlovic’s serve alone is probably enough to get him through so I may let it run.

A 150 stake pays 561, I can currently cash out for 360. So like I said, I can take profit now of 210, or nearly double it for a profit of 410 if he wins.

  64. Sam 10 years ago

That’s a point I have seen several other people making Ad, that Nieminen was perceived as a more dangerous opponent to Karlovic than Granollers is, and Karlovic just brushed Nieminen aside.

  65. Wato 10 years ago

No probs Dazzler as you stated it was a tough card I stayed clear on these ones I only go with one or two when you seem fairly confident on something. You will have us on a winner again very soon no doubt will keep an eye out later

  66. Iddy 10 years ago

Sam – I would cash out for those values. You have guaranteed profit there. But if u r feeling good on the big man, then play it out a set

  67. Ad 10 years ago

That’s the curse of the cashout. You doubt yourself and question the decisions which you didn’t have a chance to before. If you let to run its good it’s with 365 as they will void the Karlovic match if he retires, which at his age he does do from time to time. You could always cash out now, see how things are looking and lump on again in play if he looks like he’s firing. He doesn’t exactly break serve very often so the odds probably won’t move much for a good few games at least. but to be honest you thought it was a good bet when you placed it and it still looks like a good bet now. It comes down to whether you can afford to risk losing your stake or not. If that not an eventuality you can stomach then get it while the goings good. £200 profit is £200 profit. You can always place. A smaller wager on Karlovic and another one or two bankers so you’re not beating yourself up too bad if he wins.

  68. Sam 10 years ago

Thanks for the input people. Karlovic isn’t playing until later. I think I am going to have a flutter on some of the early games. If I fall short on those, I will take the cash out offer and run:)

  69. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad- that comment was bang out of order. When has Fognini ever let any of us down!!
I’m not convinced all is right with Maria – she has struggled in her 2 matches but could just as easily blitz lisicki today. But it’s done now I’m on the Fog wagon today.

    Single @ 2.50 with 888Sport WIN! :)

  73. Ad 10 years ago

Jankovic storms it 6-1, 6-0. Leaves me wondering why I stopped short of tipping her to win 2-0. Need Venus and Maria to do the business now

  74. Wato 10 years ago

Brilliant again Mr Orange of course didn’t I forget to put in on earlier today :( please keep them coming though lol

  75. Dazzler 10 years ago

    Cheers Wato. I’m trying lol.

I’m going for 3 picks tonight-

    Twins @ Orioles
    Orioles -1.5 @ 2.05

    Marlins @ Braves *TOP PICK*
    Total runs under 7.5 @ 1.66

And a long shot bet, small stakes obviously.

    Nationals @ Marimers
    Over 1.5 runs in the 1st innings @ 4.6
Zimmerman gave up 2 runs last time out, hopefully he’ll do the same again.

    Good luck everyone.

  76. Ad 10 years ago

Anderson is on top now but at 1 set all 5/2 is a good price for jerzy

    • Ad 10 years ago

I take it back. 100/1 wouldnt be a good price for Jerzy. He can go back in the “do not touch” box

  77. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – I posted don’t do it, Anderson has got this at 1-1 but it never came through

  78. Iddy 10 years ago

Also posted – thanks Mr Orange for cycling, was in it again. Great price for the single as well

  79. Iddy 10 years ago

    Errani is 4/7 – first set 6-0???

  80. Ad 10 years ago

jerzys just so mercurial you never know when he’ll turn it on again. and anderson has had a few blips recently. on the face of it it looked a decent price at 1 set all, given how well Janowicz started the match. still, i shouldve known better. more alarmingly, what the hell is going on with Venus? the odds on Errani to win a set 6-0 must have been astronomical. Errani has nothing going for her in this match up. i can only assume venus will turn up for the second set and sort this mess out. otherwise i’m going to have to start seriously questioning whether i ever bother predicting a womens match again!

  81. Ad 10 years ago

I was expecting that kind of sh** from Jerzy in the first round hence backing Lajovic. Good of him to turn up for that one then crumble in this when i back the other way!

  82. Ad 10 years ago

youd be better off on errani 2-0 at 2/1 or so. but i wouldnt touch it. surely venus can turn this around.

  83. Ad 10 years ago

30 % first serve acc sums up venus’ first set. errani 89!

  84. Iddy 10 years ago

Looks like Venus has figured out if she Keeps it in the court, then Errani has nothing for her

  85. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – over 3.5 sets in Ferrer v Tomic – what do u think??
Pays 5/6 – I’m thinking of a single on it

  86. Ad 10 years ago

I tried to put a bet on 6-0 venus @ 25/1 but didnt have any money in that account and gave up on it.

o.3.5 looks a good bet in that match. ive become a bit disillusioned with that market though as the underdog nicks the first set and i celebrate, then he goes on to win 3-0 and im disconsolate!

  87. Ad 10 years ago

well…..im not quite sure what to say about that. How Venus Williams can lose a set to love against ERRANI, recover sufficiently to win the second 6-0, then serve for the match at 5-3 and lose, is just unbelievable. I’m going to steer as clear of the women’s game as possible till the end of the U.S as it’s just proving impossible to predict.
Radwanska, Stephens, Kerber, Halep all crashing out….it’s madness. Sorry to anyone on my NAP today…

  88. Ad 10 years ago

Bautista Agut is playing pretty well early on but so is Smyczek. This is looking like the 50/50 i thought it might be so 12/5 looks a good price. Im putting him in with Karlovic, Isner and Kyrgios for a big serving, big odds 4-fold.

But as a tip a single on Smyczek looks good to me. But today’s not really been my friend so far! It’s a cracking match and really looks like it could go either way. the odds are too good imo

  89. Wato 10 years ago

Lol Ad that match was crazy yeah certainly a lot of big upsets in this tournament but again the only reason this is happening is because I get in on most of the tips I bring bad luck it seems :( lol

  90. Ad 10 years ago

It’s mens tennis from now in Wato. None of this womens rubbish.

I’ve learnt it the hard way but bautista agut is playing absolutely superbly. If fognini gets through I will be going very big on bautista agut to beat him. And on 3-0. He is getting absolutely everything back into play and in this form is just the sort of player Fabio could collapse against on a bad day. money lost today is money gained tomorrow!

    Cycling: Vuelta stage 8

I will keep it short, 100% sprint tomorrow. The sprinter teams will control the race tomorrow, because the next chance for a sprint win will be at the end of next week.

I will be on below match-ups, winners in capitals:

    MONDORY v Maes
    STUYVEN v Debusschere (single @ 1.80 with 888sport)

    Double @ 2.39 with 888sport (bet365 @2.27)

Mondory has sprinted in all stages where he had a chance for a nice result. Maes didn’t and I have no idea where this match-up is based on. The team of Maes have a better sprinter with Boonen and the stats tell the short price for Mondory. H2H in sprint stages: 13th v 18th, 7th v 139th, 7th v 180th and 6th v 21th.

Stuyven is a Belgian sprint talent and showed on the flat stages he can be with the fastest in the sprint. Tomorrow’s stage is a flat finish and I think he will beat Debusschere again. H2H in similar stages: 4th v 154th & 4th v 12th.

  92. Iddy 10 years ago

Ad – I went 8/10 on my daily acca. Ironically it was the men that let me down. Kicking myself as they were 2 shocking overs picks, don’t know what I was thinking. I should have been 2k richer instead of £14 up

  93. Ad 10 years ago

Unlucky mate. It’s been a pretty crazy week so far. Anyone who’s been picking consistent winners as done very well. fognini is crashing and burning. he should never lose this in straights. All mannarino is doing is getting the ball back. A smart tactic against fabio…

  94. Ad 10 years ago

WOW. Fabio just saved a second break point with the most ridiculous reflex shots. And then looked like he’d saved another with an amazing hotdog but mannarino somehow won what was an insane point. I’ll be looking that one up after the match stunning

  95. Ad 10 years ago

Well the short priced favourite bets just aren’t paying off this week with upset after upset coming our way. A change of tack today, and it’s back to the men’s draw and back to bigger prices. I won’t be able to post anything else till tomorrow evening as i’ll be in transit to New York to watch the tennis, but here are my thoughts on tomorrow’s matches.

Isner to beat Kohlscreiber @ 3/5. I flagged this up yesterday and the price has dropped already. Isner served so well in his last match I don’t see Kohlschreiber stopping his us open run this time round.

Kyrgios d Robredo @ 10/11. Talking of world class serving, Kyrgios was unbroken v Seppi and served 22 aces to 2 doubles. not quite up there with Isners 30 to 0, but still pretty good going against a better returner than Isner was facing. Robredo hasn’t been completely convincing lately and if the young Australian keeps his confidence and serving percentage high, he should be able to outmuscle the veteran clay courter, who struggled against Bolelli in the last round.

    Mayer d Nishikori @ 27/10
This pick is based more on gut that logic. Nishikori seems to be playing well, but i’ve been really impressed with Mayer whenever i’ve seen him recently, and though he’s perhaps not at his most comfortable on a hard court, he owns a big enough serve and power off the ground to trouble Nishikori.

Isner/Kyrgios double pays 3.08 with Paddypower

    Treble pays 11.31 with Betvictor

Im also adding Arsenal to win at Leicester to my bets as I think 5/6 is a good price. But hey, I’m probably a bit biased.

And one final thought, how about Sam Querrey to win a set v Djokovic @ 2/1. Novak’s looked formidable so far this week but really hasn’t faced anyone capable of hurting him. He was well off the boil in the two warm up tournaments and with Querrey serving and playing as well as he has been recently, he could be in for a tougher contest. He should be pretty comfortable, but Querrey has taken numerous sets from him before, and with a serve like that and a home crowd behind you, it’s certainly a possibility he can nick 1 from the world No1

  96. Dazzler 10 years ago

    Twins @ Orioles
    Orioles -1.5 @ 2.05 *WON*

    Marlins @ Braves *TOP PICK*
    Total runs under 7.5 @ 1.66 *WON*

And a long shot bet, small stakes obviously.

    Nationals @ Marimers
Over 1.5 runs in the 1st innings @ 4.6 *WON*

After two rubbish nights it’s 3/3 last night. Well happy today. Dont know if I’ll be putting anything up today, got a very busy Saturday, but good luck to anyone who is.

  97. Iddy 10 years ago

I have a couple of picks I like today and going to combine as a Nap.
    Pliskova d Dellacqua
    Bouchard d Zahlavova
    Double pays 1.1/1
Feel good about this after not posting a proper tip yesterday.
