IN today's clash we see fourth place Internacional face off against last place Paraná. Two teams at opposing sides of the table for good reason.
Internacional have scored an impressive twenty six goals while conceding just twelve this season. Even more impressive is their home record, where they have scored fourteen goals and conceded just TWO. They are certainly in good form having won four from their last five games and going unbeaten in their previous last five home games.
Paraná on the other side sit at the bottom of the table. A big reason for this is because of their atrocious away record. They have taken just one point from from their last eight games and have lost their last five straight up away games. Away from home Paraná have conceded fourteen goals and have managed to score just two. They are clearly struggling in the top flight of Brazililan football this season.
The board of directors were forced into sacking Rogério Micale, Paraná's coach after their performance last week and I can't imagine Paraná's successor has set his expectations too high for this weekends clash having being announced as recent as Thursday.
I expect no messing around today from Internacional. They have recently been in flying form and I expect them to carry that momentum into a game against a wounded Paraná team and seek to gain a comprehensive victory.
