REAL MADRID have one foot in the Champions League Final after beating Atletico Madrid 3-0 last night.
Zinedine Zidane will be happy to win without conceding an away goal and there looks no way back for Atletico.
I tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to score and Real to qualify but didn't post a top tip. Ronaldo ended with a hat-trick and what a player he is on the big occasion.
Tonight's second semi-final is an intriguing one between Monaco and Juventus. Most neutrals will be rooting for the attacking flair of the young French team but defensive masters Juve could have too much nous for them.
I've posted a separate preview where I'm tipping the draw tonight. There's been a bit of debate on the site about whether Monaco will score where Barcelona failed in 180 minutes.
I reckon their chances of finding the net are better than not scoring but Juve are the masters of keeping clean sheets. Those who think Monaco won't score can get odds bigger than 2-1.
The first of the Europa League semis also takes place with Ajax entertaining Lyon. I've been impressed with the Dutch in Europe this season and again they're a young and exciting side.
Ajax have won eight and drawn three of their last 11 at home in the Europa League while Lyon have lost four out of five away in the knockout stages.
I like the chances of Ajax to qualify at 7-5 with Marathonbet even though they're underdogs. Tonight Ajax are 7-5 at bet365 and crucially Lyon's 31-goal star striker Alexandre Lacazette has been ruled out.
He suffered a muscle injury in the semi-final win against Besiktas and without him I don't see Lyon winning so a bet to consider could be Ajax draw no bet at 8-11 with McBookie.

After looking at the Aldershot v Tranmere National League semi-final first leg I'm backing Shots not to lose. They recently held Rovers 2-2 away and won 3-1 at home earlier in the season. On this season's meetings both to score looks likely but while four of the last six have brought up this market the other two finished 0-0.
Shots haven't lost at home since November and have lost just one of their last 21 league games. Rovers are the favourites but will do well not to lose.

It’s been a cracker of a season in the National League North and as proceedings draw to a close, we have the little matter of a playoff campaign to consider!
Out of the two matches, my interest lies firmly with the one that involves the added interest of a cross-Pennine battle with the 1st leg taking place on the Red Rose side…
SALFORD CITY VS. FC HALIFAX (19.45 KO):
Two very evenly matched sides and interesting to think that this time last year, there were two divisions seperating the teams!
Both head into this one in solid form and neither side has lost in their last 3 matches with Salford ripping an ailing Darlo side apart 5-1 in their last game.
However, Halifax certainly hold the hoodo over the Ammies and haven’t lost a H2H in the last 6 attempts with 5 wins and one draw; both games this season saw plenty of action with a 2-2 scoreline in Salford and a 4-2 cracker on the ‘wrong’ side of the hills with the Shaymen winning from 2 down.
It has all the makings of a highly competetive game and despite Halifax’ historic bossing of the two, Salford are no mugs at home; in fact, they have lost only once at home all season.
Worth weighing up another couple of factors that could influence the game: goal-times and goal-scorers.
Starting with the latter, two stand out: Tom Denton (Halifax) has scored more than any of his teammates after his move from North Ferriby last season and is perhaps the away sides best chance of scoring.

Looking ahead to tomorrow and feel I’ve found a decent looking treble at 4.87/1.
Persepolis currently sitting pretty at the top of the Iranian pro league playing away to second bottom Mashhad. 3 previous meetings have all gone the same way, Persepolis win. Can’t see any reason why this match will be any different and at 21/20 it’s quite tempting to use it as a single. Followed this up with Zurich to beat aarau. Aarau on a real poor run at the minute losing their last 6 games. Not a great time for them to be playing league leaders who have only dropped points in 7/29 matches. 6 draws and 1 loss.
