CARDIFF and Partick Thistle wrapped up titles on Saturday – and now it's the turn of Celtic to do so on Sunday at home to Inverness.

Neil Lennon's side need just a point to make it official but with a party atmosphere at Parkhead they should gather all three.

Terry Butcher's ICT won at Parkhead earlier in the season when Celtic were concentrating on the Champions League but have been well beaten twice at home to the Hoops.

Celtic are 2-5 with the likes of William Hill and Coral and that's almost backable. Kris Commons has netted six goals in his last four games and is 11-2 to hit the opener.

In England, Spurs have struggled without the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe and I fancy Man City at 11-8 with Paddy Power to pick up the points.

I thought about Man City for my Super Single but instead I'm going with Deportivo who have been on a great run in La Liga. They have won four in a row, scoring 13 goals, to climb out of the relegation zone and should beat an Athletic Bilbao side who have been disappointing all season.

Bilbao have won just three away games all season and haven't taken three points from the Riazor since 2006. Back Deportivo at 5-4 with Titanbet.

Start the treble with Fiorentina against Torino. The Florence side are fighting Milan for third spot and could make up ground with their Euro rivals away to Juventus in the game of the day.

Fiorentina have won four of their last six and should take care of a side that's conceded nine goals in three games and don't have much to play for.

Add Stade de Reims who did me a turn a couple of weeks when they beat Lyon at home. Reims. They have won their last three home games 1-0 against Lyon, Rennes and Paris St Germain and that's good form.

Valenciennes are probably safe from the drop despite no wins in six and have won just twice away from home this season.

Go back to Serie A and complete the treble with Catania at home to Palermo. Everyone knows Palermo are terrible travellers with just one away win in their last two league seasons.

You'd think a visit to Sicilian rivals Catania wouldn't faze them as much but they lost by at least two goals on their last five trips and failed to score in their last four.

Palermo's away form looks like relegating them this season while Catania sit ninth having notched 10 home wins.

Liverpool v Chelsea looks a draw to me and I'm on both teams to score despite successive 0-0 draws for the Anfield me who raise their game for the bigger matches.

To the btts line add Bastia v Lille. Bastia have netted four goals in three of their last four games while Lille's recent 5-0 demolition of Lorient proved they know the way to goal.

Juve welcome a Milan side unbeaten in the league for four months and I can see the away outfit taking at least a point with both netting.

And make it a fourfold with Sevilla v Atletico Madrid. Sevilla have netted 14 in their last six and this fixture has seen both net in five of the last six meetings. Atletico blasted five past Granada last week to keep alive their slim hopes of catching neighbours Real.

Up late, checking out everyone’s favourite, French Ligue 1… Delighted to see I’m agreeing about Reims!

    Bastia v Lille H3.43 D3.29 A2.10
    KO 1pm
Lille are 6th in the league, Bastia are 12th. Bastia have the 10th best home record; Lille are 5th best away. That amounts to pretty much the same in terms of W-D-L stats/points over the season.
This match comes down to current form, and Lille are on fire. They’ve won their last four away. They had won seven out of eight until last week, when they just couldn’t break second-placed Marseille down in a 0-0 draw. Marseille are phenomenal defensively – French international keeper Steve Mandanda played out of his skin as Lille dominated, raining shots in from everywhere, whilst Lille allowed Marseille few meaningful efforts on goal. They’re still in a position to achieve a Champions League place, but, having slipped up last week, can’t allow themselves another bad result.
Bastia shouldn’t be underestimated. They’ve won 4 of their last 6, and their last three at home, twice scoring 4. That spurt has taken them out of the relegation zone, and has pretty much secured their Ligue 1 place next season, but they’re too far from the Europen places to now have much to play for.
The corresponding December league fixture in Lille was a 0-0 draw, though three days earlier, Lille won 3-0 in Bastia in the Coupe de la Ligue.
Lille have shown in their last ten performances exactly how much they want that Champions League place. They are a quality side anyway, and have goals in them, and, while I can see both teams scoring, for me, the additional incentive and commitment will all belong to Lille.
    1. BTTS – Yes
    2. Away win – Lille

    Reims v Valenciennes H2.18 D3.11 A3.44
    KO 4pm
13th plays 14th and there’s not too much at stake – both should be safe, but the form is very different. Reims have been right down at the bottom and have fought hard to get back up the table, while Valenciennes are currently ‘doing a Stoke’.
    Five match form:
    Reims: W3 D1 L1 F8 A6
    Valenciennes: W0 D2 L3 F6 A11
Reims have won 4 and drawn 1 of last six, including winning their last three at home. One of those was a 1-0 win against PSG.
Valencienne’s last win in the league was 10 games ago on the 9th Feb. In the interim, they’ve drawn 5 and lost 4. Their last away win was at Bastia on the 10th November. In that time, away, they’ve lost 6 and drawn 4.
Of course, it’s possible that Valenciennes might continue doing a Stoke and pick up an unlikely win, but Reims’ form is a lot better than QPR’s, and it looks to me like Reims should take all three points.
    Home win.

    Paris SG v Nice H1.42 D4.19 A7.86
    KO 8pm
There’s no value in the PSG win here, and, even though it’s the likeliest result, don’t be tempted into ‘buying money’ here – it’s no banker. Nice are fairly decent, and are on a good run with their win against Toulouse last week being called ‘our best performance of the season’ by Head Coach Claude Puel. They’re still in the hunt for Champions League and could sneak something. The problem is they’re just not showing enough consistency to make a solid case for them upsetting the applecart. However, they definitely have it in them to get at least one goal.
    BTTS – Yes

The Lille/Reims double looks good to me, paying at around 4.6 – I’m on it.

i know this isnt football related but didnt know where else to post it. a couple of months ago the site had a UFC tipster who knew what he was talking about. was handy to read his tips in the early hours after the pub, rather than scroll thru page after page of yank websites, that all contradict each other!! anyway i asked this tipster, who’s name escapes me, the question on all UFC fans lips. GSP or da Silva? he answered da Silva any day of the week!! well now GSP has been offered the fight with da Silva, i have to disagree!! GSP any day of the week!!! For those that dont follow UFC, GSP vs da Silva is like Mayweather vs Paqiuau. anyway, if that tipster is still involved with the site would like to see his write up!!! Anyway just want to thank Mr Fixit for all tips!! noticed a few knobheads in the last week moaning about your site and tips!!! dont understand criticism on a tipster site that is totally free, and in my opinion, the best free tipster site i have followed!!
take the tips or dont and if they dont come in dont whinge!! And milesey, great addition to the site!! Find it hard to think of a sport you havent tipped, but i think UFC is one of them!! Any thoughts?

Mark,,think you got to go for the home win,,,the only variable that i can see is the ‘derby’ aspect.
CSKA have only lost twice at home and are unbeaten in their last 5, 1draw 4wins.
Spartak sit 16points below them in 5th and i dont think they have the same class of players which CSKA have..

  22. The UHT 11 years ago

One interesting recent development is the Blegian Championship split – and, in the handful of games now played, it’s been goal fever.

Only really Anderlecht have been keeping clean sheets. They play Waregem today away. Regular season, it ended up 3-2 to Anderlecht. (Same result when they played 2011/12 season, too.) This is now a top of the table clash with only two points separating the teams (Anderlecht top) and could go a long way to deciding the eventual Belgian title winners.
    It looks like BTTS.

The other game features Genk v Club Brugge. Genk home so far are P2 F3 A2; Club Brugge away are P2 F5 A2. Regular season in Feb, it was 4-1 Genk. Teams – apart from Anderlecht – have not much to lose and everything to gain by going for it…
    Again, BTTS.

Well what an absolute disaster the racing at Ayr was yesterday, not a single winner, not even close, good day out all the same!

There’s definitely a reason I rarely bet on horses!

My super single tip went well yesterday Sheff u battered 3-0 from Portsmouth, haha! Apologies if anyone took them!

On a brighter note , 5 in a row now for doing under 2.5 goals and under 1.5 goals in Doncaster and Blackpool home matches!
    Doncaster 0-1 Notts county yesterday!

Not got much on today as I’m suffering after 18 hours of drinking yesterday! Palmerias playing tonight if anyone is looking for some corners action!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Greg, I don’t bet much on horses but have noticed Mileseys Outsider of the Day usually gives you a run for your money backing it each-way. Also his nap success is pretty good. But if you’re at a meeting you fell duty bound to have a bet on each race. Good spot with Doncaster and Notts County. Trends do exist, for example I pointed out Catania were going for a fourth successive 1-0 home win and that’s just about in.

  40. Guido 11 years ago

    4-3 Fiorentina now Weordie :-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, football is just crazy. Anyone who slagged Fiorentina, take it back now. Anyone who is on the 13-2 top treble get ready to hedge if Stade de Reims start badly against Valenciennes.

  41. weordie 11 years ago

As I see guido, I usually find it best to slag a team so they come good to prove me wrong. Those idiots Reims won’t manage it though ;-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

weordie, you can now direct your abuse at Catania who have conceded what looks a goal with the last kick of the ball. It’s exciting stuff in Serie A but coslty all the same. I must have jinxed it with my last comment.

  42. Robert Bogle 11 years ago

    Ouch!!!

  43. weordie 11 years ago

ahhh FFS just saw Catania threw it away instead

  44. Chris Guy 11 years ago

2/1 Ledley and 5/2 was the general price to be honest which is why I highlighted him at 5/1 with Coral. 12/1 first goal he shouldn’t be 5/1 anytime. You’re right John Ledley was crap in first half.

  45. Guido 11 years ago

hahaha :-) gerrin there….they dont often let ya down at home…95th minute winner for Napoli :-) nice wee double with Fiorentina :-) Deportivo n Sociedad next

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, some late goals go for you, others don’t. Poor show by Catania.

  46. weordie 11 years ago

If the BTTS doesn’t come in I’ll do you guys a favour and stay away from your selections because I am the ultimate jinx. Everything comes in on here unless I back it too, sorry about that :-/

  47. suzie 11 years ago

Anyone got a good treble i can stick my £50 winnings on tonight..after 6pm kick offs would be preferable lol…..

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Suzie, look at the Euro tips post there’s some in there.

  48. suzie 11 years ago

Mr F,is that the La Liga tips.your on about ??

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Suzie, yeah La Liga and he’s commented about others.

  49. Guido 11 years ago

Pal..TBH (tho it was last gasp) I really fancied a draw in the Sicily derby..I have a long standing theory about Italian matches at this time of year in the relegation are..teams kinda in my opinion have a complex about being the ones to relegate others and invariably settle for a draw. then throw in a Sicilan derby and by God…there wid be riots n shootings n throats slit if Catania had won n virtually relegated Palermo today! Really is heart of Godfather country..Cosa Nostra tentacles are far reaching

  50. AL 11 years ago

5/2 for LIVERPOOL to score next with PaddyPower. Bet must be placed before 2nd half starts

    £100 @ 5/2 Returns £350

Makes up for a rubbish few days betting!

  51. Stevie H 11 years ago

Shocking day today unless theres a miracle in France and Spain. :-(

  52. Guido 11 years ago

Rosenborg 11/10 away to Haugesund starts at 6pm…was expecting Rosenborg to be odds on/have started season well…2 away wins F5 A 0. I’ll have a dip at that…n Sociedad, singles/double

  53. Guido 11 years ago

Christ…Suarez pretending hes a rottweiler tried to take a bite outa Ivanovic’s arm…what a twat he is. Ivanovic away for a rabies shot1!

  54. alex walker 11 years ago

Guido. What team do you support?

    • Guido 11 years ago

Alex I support Rangers – wiz apply for the job vacancy that has recently cropped up…but heard Mr F is the number 1 target since he joined the club :-) Also have a hankering for FC Barcelona and AC Milan – but do definately do not support Stevenage :-) or any other English to tbh.

  55. Greg Browning 11 years ago

Paul, that was exactly the case yesterday, had money on each race, pretty sure there’s still a few running, haha! Yeah, I guess similair to football in that respect, just pick a couple that you fancy!

Golf outing at Gleneagles on Friday, will let you know how many balls are lost! :)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Greg, u playing the Ryder Cup course?

  56. alex walker 11 years ago

Mr f. What do you think liverpool should do with suarez?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Alex, I think they should send him to Clydebank for a season. Seriously, I haven’t seen it yet so will watch on Match of the Day with interest.

  57. alex walker 11 years ago

It is pretty bad. But he plays with so passion that he wants to win at all costs! Plur fergie stood by cantona when he jumped into the crowd and kung fu kicked the supporter. I just hope rodgers and liverpool stand by suarez!

    • Guido 11 years ago

Ach I mean, people that take a chunk oota someones are like it was a scotch pie smoothered in broon sauce need their heid looked at. Hope they throw the book at the week chipmunk. Liverpool as a club dont need that kinda shit. Dunno how anyone cab contemplate condoning what he did.Hes a litte asshole tbh. If ya were to do something like that on the street yad be chucked in the nuthouse at HM pleasure indefinitely. Shoodna get off with it just cos “he’s passionate about winning”. Complete nob…neds a psychiatrist or a nice couple of pork chops n chips before matches!!!

  58. Guido 11 years ago

Heres one for the golfers…if you had a coice of course…say someone loaded like Mr F or Milesey were paying/money no object what one wid you play?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, I think most golfers would love to play Augusta or St Andrews, probably the highest-profile courses in the world. St Andrews is of course accessible but expensive while Augusta is impossible although a couple of my Record colleagues have played it after being drawn out to do so when covering the event.

    • Guido 11 years ago

what be your choice Paul? My mate qualified for Scottish “playgolf”? event a few years ago and finals was played on the course adjacent to the Old Course..the Eden…in my opinion, taking away the history etc, fairly boring I thought. Then a few yers after the same mate of mine that turned 40 and I and a few others got the chance of a slot atthe Old Course accompanied by a pro for the round who was like a plus 3 hcp…I really wasnt blown over by it as a course :-( of course the Yanks etc wid love it/history etc

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, I don’t know, so many good courses up here, some I’ve played and many I haven’t. The best I’ve played recently include North Berwick and Prestwick but both are tough in wind. I liked Mar Hall which I played last year but maybe Kingsbarns is the best I’ve played.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Wind is the golfers curse!! I often think sometimes that how well you rate a course is based on how well ya play on it ya know?? I really like a wee course in Aberdeenshire – Turriff…a number left to right shots needed of the tee which (used to) suit me!! usuelly play well the 4/5 times ive played it. For a sheer welcome/good scran/very nice staff Aberfeldy is great value..not a fantastic course/not in the big league but very nice folk that relly need the custom. Great peice of architecture on it as well..one of General Wade’s arched bridges..they knew how to build stuff that lasted in the 1750s!!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, what you say is true. Playing Largs tomorrow and that’s pretty decent too.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Nice drop of ice cream in Largs as well Paul…if the shops open. Expensive wee toon tho..I mind driving up the coast from Argyll a few years ago n stoppin in the cafe at the front/beside the wee car park for breakfast..canna mind what its called..if the full Scottish breakfast dudnt gie ya a heart attack the bill they stuck in yer hand certainly would!!

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, the famous one is Nardini’s but we’ll just hit the clubhouse after the game.

    • MUZZA 11 years ago

Guido my 2 favourite courses in the UK are The Ailsa @ Turnberry & Loch Lomund and I have been fortunate enough to play them both several times

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Muzza, they’re two beauts. Right, off for the night after watching the highlights of today’s big games. Poor old Suarez, nice apology shame about the ban coming up.

  59. gunner 11 years ago

king suarez get liverpool well deserved point

  60. Guido 11 years ago

Greg – mate of mine played Gleneagles a couple years ago when he turned 40…thin it wiz a hunner n 40 quid? (I plain refused to go at that price!!) but inthe hotel fter wards a pint of cider was a fiver and fish n chips cost £18 notes…but like, you had to order them separately..think the fish was £13 and the chips a fiver. Said it was good but a bit too much arse licking/overkill….didna feel comfy…can i polish yer shoes sir, take yer bag sir, would you like me to callan escort goirl for you sir n charge to your card :-) Paul n Milesy wis fit in well at Gleneagles..pulling the £50 notes of a roll to tip the doorman etc ;-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, I’ve played Gleneagles quite a few times but never had to pay. Either been outings, press invites or corporate. Eating in the hotel is expensive but the Dormie House is OK. I think four of us paid about £50 for a pint and a burger and chips a few years ago.

    • Guido 11 years ago

Paul, I widna expect a major well kent face/Scottish celeb like you to pay for golf anywhere :-) ;-) did ur collegue Julie Hannah get married a short time ago??..nice bitta gear ;-)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, yeah that’s right. Didn’t think it would take you long to go from golf to birdies.

    • Guido 11 years ago

hahahaha :-) yeah, birdies to birdies!! were ya at the wedding? Does she still do her bit fur the record then? How many employees based at Central quay now?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Guido, nah I don’t know her well enough. Think it was in Spain, heard a couple of the girls talking about it. There’s a few hundred at Central Quay, all the Record and Sunday Mail staff and some of the regionals based there now too. Everyone but the printers who are at Cardonald.

  61. gunner 11 years ago

im happy liverpool drow hate chelsea but yes suarez is dirty cheat

  62. gunner 11 years ago

mrf why do you keep deleating my post when i coment about football ??

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Gunner, I haven’t deleted anything but I will if it’s something irrelevant.

    • Milesey 11 years ago

Gunner isn’t linked is he ?

      Milesey

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Milesey, Gunner is simply Gunner. Badham used a Gunners avatar.

  63. alex walker 11 years ago

Gunner. But the differance is that he is a winner. And will do anything to get 3 points!

  64. gunner 11 years ago

mr f sorry thought you deleated my coment did you watch spurs game

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Gunner, I was out most of the day but listened to some out of it on the radio. Will catch up with highlights later.

  65. the chief 11 years ago

Guido, it would be Augusta for me although I would love a crack at the 17th at sawgrass.

Alex as a spurs fan I’m delighted with Suarez his equaliser anyway, we were strongly linked with him, good player but bad PR for one of our countries biggest team. He did same at Ajax, think he got 7 games wouldn’t be surprised if he got same again.

On a separate note I would love a Falcao goal

    • Guido 11 years ago

Sawgrass wid be good Chief. for me I think it’d be Pebble Beach or Lytham

  66. Guido 11 years ago

next time Suarez plays I bet the opposition fans will chuck chops n ham shanks etc at him…shit, I’ve probably given Gunner and Badham ideas now!! :-)

  67. the chief 11 years ago

Ask and u shall receive, surely Falcao got a stud on that :)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

the chief, looks like Falcao’s been given it.

  68. Guido 11 years ago

Cabn anyone tell me why people (wife’s) dont rip off the silver foil on a tub of Philadelphia cheese n chuck it in the bin?? I recall Billy Connolly years ago saying something similar about tins of nivea cream? Is it a rule or something??

  69. gunner 11 years ago

yes me too mrf cant wait now watching motd

  70. The UHT 11 years ago

Guido – if we understood women to that extent, we’d none of us ever have a problem trying to outfox bookmakers.

    • Guido 11 years ago

UHT – apparantly is “helps keep it fresh”. Here’s me naively thinking that was the job of the lid and the fridge??

  71. Greg Browning 11 years ago

Paul / Guido, yeah playing Rydar cup course, thinks its £120 but we’ve managed to get it for £80! Played It a few years, it’s a long track!

Don’t think the boys will be to fussed for food, they’ll just be wanting to get a pint, haha!

    • Guido 11 years ago

If ya get a nice day Greg it’ll be value. Whats the hcp?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Greg, should be a good day.

  72. the chief 11 years ago

Mr F, William hill have paid me in last few minutes, so anyone else who was on Falcao should be paid out if not already.

  73. celtic 67 11 years ago
