Since its launch as a small project in 2010, providing daily football tips to online bettors, Mr Fixits Tips has grown to become one of the greatest football tip sites in existence.
Read on to see why you should put your trust and faith in Mr Fixits Tips, and enhance your sports betting journey with everything we have to offer.
Our values
From day one, Mr Fixits Tips has built its ethos on a solid foundation of three core elements:
Honesty
Mr Fixits accepts no fakers on the writing team, no algorithm-based AI and no false guarantees over ‘sure bets’ or anything like that. We’ve got to where we are today by taking in only the best of the best and telling it like it is.
Community
Over 2m people visit the site every year without fail, and every one of them has been part of a vibrant, well-informed community that prides itself on being helpful and proactive in negotiating the challenging and exciting world of online football betting.
Integrity
We are completely independent of any bookmaker, and will never show favouritism towards one – no matter how much money anyone waves in our faces! Mr Fixits Tips has no ulterior motive other than to provide odds that reflect the situation.
Mr Fixit – the man, the legend
The eponymous Mr Fixit was the highly-esteemed alter ego of Paul Jain, a well known ‘bookie basher’ who was revered at Scotland’s biggest newspaper, the Daily Record, for his passion and expertise in all things sporting.
When launching his own brainchild, he utilised his personal network to bring in some of the greatest minds in football tipping, producing specialist columns on the world’s greatest events. Indeed, some have since expanded even beyond football, into horse racing and golf amongst several others, showing the true range of their skills and industry experience.
Above all else, Paul was a true people’s person. He led by example, inspiring and leading the way through every challenge that comes with working in such a competitive industry. Sadly, his time at the helm would be cut tragically short on 3 December 2020, when he passed away aged just 55 after a short illness.
Though the man was gone, the magic was not. His spirit remained with the team, and through sheer determination and fortitude, Mr Fixits Tips continued to flourish, with its community stronger than ever in remembrance of a true people’s champion.
Mr Fixits Tips & North Star Network – a match made in heaven
In March 2024, it was announced that Paris-based sports media giants North Star Network had acquired Mr Fixits Tips. Unlike many takeovers, this did not cost anyone their place on the roster. The existing team was retained in its entirety, maintaining the sense of continuity that the site had always enjoyed.
Now, however, it would be bolstered by the expertise of seasoned media managers, online editors and content strategists from every corner of Europe, with the sole aim of taking the site to new, unprecedented highs in terms of quality and range.

The writing team
I am the resident horse racing tipster for MFT. I have been sports writing since 2019, gathering expert knowledge by studying every inch of turf as the finest racehorses in the world pound across it. In April 2024, I also began an EFL tips column that continues to gain popularity.
I joined MFT after spending more than a decade as a sports anchor across radio and television. I was the lead presenter for Serie A, the Premier League and the Bundesliga on satellite television in Africa, and joined SuperSport in 2017. My knowledge of African leagues is an additional bonus, and I’m also into boxing and tennis.
As well as being a renowned betting analyst, I’m a Falkirk season ticket holder who has written freelance football and darts content for several media heavyweights, in both online and print formats. Like my MFT colleagues, I possess a strong passion for Scottish football, and also regularly feature in Nutmeg, the much-loved Scottish football magazine.
A graduate in sports journalism as well as a long-suffering Sunderland supporter, my tips come from meticulous data collection and nothing short of forensic analysis. Outside of this, my interests include travel, going to gigs and playing golf.
I’m a football tipster and betting analyst who has been with the site since 2021, producing my content as well as running Twitter and Telegram channels. I have a season ticket for Rangers and avidly watch football at home and abroad.
Originally from Dundee and now in Glasgow, I'm a sports journalist, football tipster and the proud author of 2015 novel Moristoun. I have covered every level of the beautiful game, from grassroots football in daisy-strewn parks to the pinnacle of the world stage. I’ve been with Mr Fixits Tips since 2018, while also following in Paul Jain’s footsteps, writing betting tips for the Daily Record since 2020.
I work as a freelance Scottish Football journalist for a variety of newspapers, having also been the Racing Post’s designated Scottish Football Correspondent at one time. I am also a long-suffering Aberdeen fan.
