IT was another action-packed day at Royal Troon with the weather playing a major role in deciding who sits where in the leaderboard.
Everyone sitting in the top 10 had had the best of the conditions including Phil Mickelson who leads by one from Henrik Stenson.
Mickelson remains tournament favourite at 5-2 with McBookie and Betfred while Stenson is 14-5 at betfair. Stenson was tipped pre-tournament by Ace Venturer at 30-1 and is looking good.
Dane Soren Kjeldsen and Keegan Bradley are two further back while defending champion Zach Johnson is five back and 16-1 at Ladbrokes.
You can't rule out anyone within 10 shots but the likes of Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy would need a sizzling third round. Sergio Garcia, one of my antepost picks, is still in the mix on four under and is 20-1 at 888sport.
Mickelson brought up the first part of my 11-2 threeball double but Justin Thomas followed his 67 with a 77 in wind and rain to beat me up.
Twoballs are easier to predict and the pairings have now been priced up. I'm going for three big guns – Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia.
World No.1 Day has struggled but has a big round in him and should outscore England's David Howell. McIlroy finished well yesterday and also has a low round in him. He's up against Kyung-Tae Kim.
Complete the treble with Sergio Garcia who is still in title contention. The Spaniard is up against England's Andrew “Beef” Johnston whose quickly becoming a cult hero due to his beard and love of cheeseburgers.
All of mine and Ace's outright bets are still running after all players made the cut.

Colin montgomerie to make the cut 11-8 bet 365.
He practically lives on the course and qualified last week so can’t be playing terribly.
All depends on the weather tomorrow as he is 1st out.
Also like Westwood 1-3 and mc dowell 2-5 as a to make the cut double at 5-6 Ish…
2 winners here BOSH !!!!
My other trip olesson to be top Dane gone west as he was +9.
BOOOOOO
Monty still got chance to bring in my other tip as top senior 11-4..
Don’t know how many there are left in ?
Elvis Parsley, it was good to see Monty make it although it was last-gasp stuff because when I left Troon he was out.
O’Meara and Jimenez are three clear of Monty – they might be the only seniors to survive.
I have Monty top Scot and he is level with Lawrie and four behind Knox.
Good luck with your two balls MrF. Think Sergio might make a run today and I’m hopeful Patrick Reed gets back up the field. Big Phil’s putter seems hot at the moment but I really fancy Stenson to be in the lead come this evening.
Ace, Stenson’s giving you a good run but would be nice to see Mickelson winning again.
MrF No it wouldn’t. See DJ’s now five under….
Ace, was starting to look good but all over for Dustin now – 7 at the 11th.
