FOURTEEN became 10 on Day 8 of my 12 Plays of Christmas competition as we edge ever closer to finding our ‘Last Man Standing' and dishing out a £500 Grand Prize from Skybet.
Due to a lack of fixtures Day 9 looks like it could be a tough one which could signal the end of a few more challenges. But before we get to that here's a look at Day 8.
Day 8 Round-Up
Wins for Derby, Middlesbrough and Inter were necessary for nine members to proceed to Day 9 but it was @jpq's bold call on the draw at QPR v Brighton which caught the eye.
Taking a draw at this stage is a risky strategy but he got it spot on as QPR stormed back from 2-0 down to grab a point. @jpq is the deserved winner of Day 8's £40 free bet prize at Skybet. Admin will be in touch at the end of the competition with details.
It was ‘as you were' for the four members with a perfect score so far as all of them maintained their 100% record. That means there's a further six hanging on in there having already used their ‘Second Chance' card.
Day 9
Things are starting to get a bit tougher in the competition and there are no gimmes on Day 9 with the shortest priced team at 10/11.
