I DON'T know what I have to do to get that elusive win this year. With Nick Watney finishing second at the AT&T on Sunday that’s five seconds in four weeks.
Watney was a 35-1 pick so there was a still a good return for anyone taking the eachway advice – but I'd prefer to land a winner.
The European Tour moves to India this week with the Hero Indian Open in Delhi. Accuracy off the tee seems to be the order of the day here with narrow fairways. Also there are a lot of undulating greens so your putter needs to be hot as a chicken vindaloo.
One man who has been finding his form of late is Oz ace Wade Ormsby At the Australian PGA in December he led after 54 holes and was only beaten in a play-off by Greg Chalmers.
His accuracy off the tee this year is 69.3% which puts him 13th on the Tour. Also his average putts per round is 28.1 and that makes him ranked 14th.
In fact he has improved almost every stat on last year with the exception of GIR which is still 64.7%. He also won the 2013 Panasonic Open here on this same course so definitely worth an eachway bet.
One man who will certainly be a favourite with the crowd is Shiv Kapur. The Delhi Golf Club was his home track as he grew up and he is even a representative of the sponsors.
In his two previous appearances here he has finished fourth and failed to shoot above par in his eight rounds. In Thailand last week he finished T11th.
His driving accuracy is 72.2%, which is sixth on Tour, putting average 29.89 and with his knowledge of the course is certainly a serious contender. Also noticed his price has come in a bit since the beginning of the week.
Another Australian whose stats have also improved on last year is Marcus Fraser. Like Ormsby every stat has improved bar GIR which is only down 0.3% at 64.3. His driving accuracy is 67.3% which is 5% better than last year and putting average is at 28.2. Could be there or thereabouts.
Over in the US the PGA Tour moves from the Monterey Peninsula down to Riviera Country Club just outside Los Angeles for the Northern Trust Open.
Although he let me down badly at the AT&T I’m going again with Watney. On Sunday he birdied the first four holes and was two ahead at that stage but the wheels came off. He managed to hang in there to finish second and with a T7 at Torrey Pines the week before he’s definitely on song.
I’m glad to see Dustin Johnson back and as some of you will know I tipped him a few times last year. Although he missed the cut at the Farmers two weeks ago he finished T4 at the AT&T last week on a course where he had repeated success.
This week is another course where he has played well, with three top-fours and a top 10 in seven visits. Hopefully he is back in the groove and gets a win soon.

What does anyone think of Matt Every this week 250/1 shot and he faired pretty well in this competition last time out.Is he carrying any injuries?
It was a break even week for me in the Golf with Dustin Johnson tipped EW at 16/1 so its 1 win 2 seconds and a third this season for me.
Northern Trust will be same formula for me with 2 fancies and an outsider
Tip Dustin Johnson to win 11/1
played really well last week and was 2nd in this last year, i love horses for courses in the golf
Tip Jimmy Walker to win 16/1
Speaking of horses for courses this is Jimmy Walkers favourite course and despite fading last week he has been in great form this season

Raal
On both your tips
Chowrasia is joint leader after 1st round mint.
raaljaca, good shout there – looked like there was a great chance of a home winner.
Hopefully leader after the 4th round would be fantastic!
Cheers raal
Raal I know nothing about golf but followed your tips how’s beljan doing or is it two early to tell?
Danny t
Beljan finished 1 over first round which leaves him T54…
Well, my prediction of Meesawat & Watson not going to plan, although Bubba only 4 behind,,,, Luckily I jumped on Raals tip Chowrasia after day 1 and got him at 5/1 and added Watney ( one of Aces tips ) for a nice EW Double…Top 4 (India) & Top 5 (PGA)
Great piece of info Raal. Just wish I had seen it earlier lol
