Tennis Prediction and Betting Tips 2024

After two very exciting tournaments in China, we’re moving back to Europe for some indoor tennis. Today’s tennis betting tips will feature action from Stockholm, where we have a couple of interesting matchups.

Indoor tennis plays in a rather specific way—there’s no wind, no sun, no external factors—so matches tend to be quite close with lots of overs. That’s where we’ve found value in today’s betting tips as well, so keep reading to find out what they are.

Best tennis tips and predictions today

In our first prediction, we’re going to back a close clash between two very good servers. In the second one, we’re picking Matteo Berrettini to win his match nice and quick, even though it contradicts what the bookies are thinking.

Kovacevic vs Stricker – over 22.5 games @ 5/6

As you can see, the line is already higher than usual in this clash. That’s because of the matchup and where it’s played – indoors. Both of these tennis players have very strong serves and are expected to hold relatively comfortably in indoor conditions like this.

Stockholm generally plays very fast, so being a good server is a huge benefit here. Another thing that’s important to note is that neither are very good at breaking.

Stricker does have a massive forehand, but he hasn’t been playing that well recently. Kovacevic holds relatively easily, but he doesn’t break that often due to not having any massive weapons outside of the serve.

It simply reads like a matchup where both players will be comfortable to hold but not do much else. We could easily see two tiebreaks, and that would be more than enough to cover this line.

The only way this misses is if one has a really poor serving day, which can of course happen, but we fancy that both will be able to keep the serve without too many complications. The over is simply the best value.

Darderi vs Berrettini – under 22.5 games @ 4/6

Contrary to what we’ve been preaching so far, that the over is the best market for indoor tennis, we’re going to back the under here. It’s a pretty simple premise, and that’s that Berrettini will dominate.

His opponent is a clay player who almost exclusively plays on clay. He did play on hard courts a bit this year, but he wasn’t very good. The score is 1-9, and if he’s not good on hard, he won’t be any good indoors.

The courts in Stockholm also play somewhat fast, which is even worse for Darderi, who should find himself under fire from the first game. Berrettini has a massive serve, and on that alone, he won’t get broken.

There is no way that he’s going to get broken, and for this line, he only needs one break in each set to get it done, and we certainly believe that he can get it done.

Berrettini is just too good and has too much experience indoors not to win this one rather easily.
