Total goals: Where are the Welsh goals coming from?

Wales are set to take on Iceland on Friday night with both teams firmly in contention for promotion from League B. With just one point separating them in the group, this should be a cagey affair which only makes it more likely to be a low-scoring affair.

To compound matters, neither Wales or Iceland are known for their goalscoring exploits. Iceland are averaging one goal per match over their last five outings while Wales have failed to score in four of their last five matches. The two-goal barrier shouldn't be breached here which makes the sell price of 2.2 worth snapping up.

Corners squared: Value on Scotland set pieces

Scotland will take on Croatia on Saturday evening with pressure beginning to mount on Steve Clarke. His team are on zero points so far in the Nations League and haven't won any of their last six matches.

A common theme in recent Scotland matches has been the number of corners taken which makes the sell price of 83 on corners squared for their match against Croatia very appealing.

In their last match against Portugal, Scotland conceded 12 corners and won six. In that instance, the corners squared market would have settled on 324 which would have produced incredible profits.

Goals cubed: The Ronaldo problem to rear its head again?

Poland are set to face Portugal on Saturday night in a match that feels more important to Poland given that they currently trail their opponents by three points in the group table. Portugal will be quite happy to take a point away from the match which could mean a tight and tense affair.

Portugal displayed at Euro 2024 how they can sometimes get bogged down by having an increasingly immobile Cristiano Ronaldo up front and while they get away with it against weaker teams, Poland aren't one of those.

None of Portugal's last five matches have produced more than three goals while the same can be said for four of Poland's last six.

Winning margin: Spain to come out flying

Spain need to win in their match against Denmark this weekend as they look to get their Nations League campaign back on track after a draw against Serbia during the last international break.

This will be a momentous night for the hosts as it is their first match on home soil since winning Euro 2024 so they will be keen to put on a show for the crowd in Murcia.

The signs are there that a big win could be on the cards, too. Spain's last five wins on home soil have come by a margin of two goals or more and that would be enough to bring about a profit at the buy price of 1.4.

Shirt numbers: England to stumble further?

Backing shirt numbers on spread betting is always a good idea when it's an international break because squads use more conventional numbers than clubs. There will be no number 99s getting on the scoresheet, with starting XIs frequently lining up with numbers 1-11.

If that's the case on Sunday when England take on Finland then a minimum of four goals will be needed to make the sell price fail. More realistically, it will need five goals unless only players with a number ten or higher on their backs are the goalscorers.
