Yesterday wasn't overly spectacular, Terries Royal wasn't a surprising winner but we did at least get the 2nd at a nice enough price. A NR wasn't ideal given the other two runners weren't for today.

There has been a bit of a drop-off during the week with real-life commitments unfortunately taking precedent, but we have done OK enough with singles recently, and aren't faring too badly. I'll most likely round off monthly stats at the weekend.

Attacanter Racing Tips

Its Not Over Yet 9/1 five places – 15.50 Listowel

Its Not Over Yet drew my attention given the amount of times I've chanced this owner/trainer/jockey combination, I am sure the stats don't add up but they have had enough at prices. There is slight unease in the market, backing the horse off a win up 7lbs could be an issue against 20 rivals, but she's likeable enough.
The win last time at 14/1 in a similar contest looked quite pleasing, having watched the end of the race there is certainly scope for another good run. She was asked to do it as easily as possible, a few taps of the stick saw her produce a nice burst of speed late which the jockey seemed keen to restrain.

The 2nd and 3rd of that race both won next time, Ranger Billy was 5 lengths back in 5th now without a 5lb claim. I am hoping now dropped back 2 furlongs she can kick late again.

Sassy Glory 6/1 – 20.00 Wolverhampton

Sassy Glory was noted when looking at a previous selection two starts back. She went with the blistering pace set by Three Platoon who eventually faded into 11th, we know that wasn't his day but Sassy stayed on into 2nd and is entitled to a chance today. The winner was Susiesparkle who was 2nd next time against a Kevin Ryan runner who had come into the race off of a win.

The horse was tried over today's C&D before that finishing 4th of 8, she wasn't totally disgraced, so I am willing to give her another chance hoping this isn't a stepping stone going off 2lbs lower than last time. Unfortunately a very short favourite sits atop the market, no extra places are on offer and the rivals are respected, we'll have to hope she's wearing the carbon fiber's.

Dreamz 10/1 five places – 15.15 Listowel

Terence O'Brien sent out five runners last September, three of those won and I'm willing to chance his lightly raced mare off the back of a 122 day lay off. The 3rd horse won off a similar break which is at least something.

Up against a whole host of rivals in with chances, her form is likeable enough at the price. Rated 93 back in May, she finished 2nd off 2lbs higher against 15 rivals, next time a respectable 7th of 16 from 5lbs higher than she is today which gives her claims remaining at the same level.

Four Clean Aces 20/1 five places – 14.40 Listowel

Willie Mullins has 5 in this, the first choice jockey is on a favourite half the price of anything else, mine is his market outsider which is clearly asking for trouble with such an unproven type.

The selection was a losing 4/9 favourite at this meeting last year in a maiden hurdle, she found form this summer with a 2nd at Kilbeggan before breaking her duck at the same track. Her 12th length 4th of 8 last time doesn't warrant her inclusion in this, now entered into Listed company with seemingly no chance.

Whether 2, 3 or 4 selections lose, the return doesn't differ massively which entitles chances to be taken, I have had enough land a price so far to suggest however bad this horse does today, we can make up for it at a later date.

*Advised Bet – Eachway L15*

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
