Perennial French champions Paris Saint-Germain made it four wins from four over the weekend in Ligue 1. Consequently, their outright odds for the title have once again shortened.

While PSG’s ominous form doesn't mean the title race is already over, Luis Enrique’s side look like they are going to take some stopping in their pursuit of a fourth straight French crown. Let's take a look at the latest outright winner odds.

Best Ligue 1 outright winner odds

PSG – 1/5

So are PSG missing Kylian Mbappe? The short answer is not right now. The Ligue 1 table already has a familiar look to it after four rounds of action, with PSG occupying top spot. Enrique’s side have won each of their opening four Ligue 1 matches of the season, slamming in 16 goals for good measure.

Last weekend's 3-1 win over a Brest side that finished third last term has solidified the notion that the Parisians are already on course to finish top of the pile again. That is reflected in the bookies Ligue 1 winner outright odds, with PSG as short as 1/5 to retain the title.

An alternative angle of attack that could give bettors a good run for their money is to back PSG’s Bradley Barcola as an each-way selection in the top goalscorer market at 16/1. Barcola already has four league goals to his name this season and he recently scored his first goal for the French national team.

Marseille – 11/1

If anyone can upstage star-studded PSG at the head of the outright market it could be Marseille. The French heavyweights are enjoying a new lease of life under Roberto de Zerbi, having made an unbeaten start to the season. The Phocaeans have won three of their opening four league games of the campaign, scoring 12 goals in the process – a tally bettered only by PSG (16).

New boss de Zerbi made a number of eye-catching signings over the summer and his side’s domestic form should benefit from having no European football to juggle this term. While toppling PSG will be a tall order, Marseille look well placed to finish best of the rest.

Best Marseille odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 9/4

Monaco – 12/1

Monaco have made a quietly impressive start to the season in Ligue 1 and they are currently chalked up as 12/1 chances in the outright betting. Adi Hutter’s side stormed to a second place finish last season and they appear to have carried that momentum into the new campaign. The Principality club have three wins and a draw on the board after four matches, meaning they have lost just two of their last 20 Ligue 1 matches stretching back to last season.

Sustaining that type of form could be tricky once Monaco’s Champions League campaign gets underway later this week, which can perhaps be attributed to why Hutter's side are 11/4 second-favourites behind Marseille in the without PSG betting odds.

Best Monaco odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 11/4

Lens – 28/1

Having started the season with back-to-back wins, Lens were being touted as potential dark horses in this season's Ligue 1 title race under the guidance of the highly-rated Will Still. However, a pair of stalemates with both Monaco and Lyon have seen the Blood and Gold drift out to 28/1 shots in the Ligue 1 outright winner market.

After participating in last season’s Champions League for the first time in over two decades, Lens’ priority this term will be to try and navigate their way back to Europe’s top table. They are currently priced up at 11/10 for a top four finish and that could be the more sensible option to support.

Best Lens odds to win Ligue 1 without PSG: 7/1

Who will win Ligue 1? Here’s our prediction

With Paris Saint-Germain expected to power their way to another Ligue 1 title, Marseille hold plenty of appeal in the without PSG betting at 9/4.

Even at this early stage in the season, Marseille have been irresistible to watch in some of their games, with new manager de Zerbi swiftly implementing the dynamic, attacking style of football which served him so well at both Sassuolo and Brighton.

The Phocaeans should go from strength to strength as the season goes on and having no continental commitments to contend with makes them the prime candidate for a podium finish alongside PSG.
