There’s a nice little card at Nottingham on Monday evening, including a mix of graded races and some Arc heats, followed by the Arc Dash Trophy, a nice-looking Open Race.
Today’s greyhound tips
See below for three bets ahead of tonight’s action at Nottingham.
Tip 1: The Other Delboy (take odds of 5/2+)
Race #3 @ 19:11
The third race on the card is an A3 contest, where Trap 6 will likely be well supported following his all-the-way success last time out, but he’s up in grade here, which is not to be underestimated.
In contrast, Trap 1 drops in grade, which could very easily spark a return to winning ways for The Other Delboy, who has recently delivered a string of placed efforts in A3 company.
When last seen in an A4 here, Munslow’s runner came home in front by a comfortable margin. If the forecast 5/2 is available later, I’ll be all over this one.
Tip 2: Skywalker Isak (take odds of 3/1+)
Race #4 @ 19:27
One win from two races in A3 company at Nottingham, Skywalker Isak was a regular A3 winner at Perry Barr earlier this year, so don’t be surprised if he gets heavily involved in this contest.
Couldn’t quite get going in an A2 last time out, but he’s to be feared by all back at the level where he won with decent authority on his penultimate start. A repeat of that would likely see him come home in front.
Tip 3: Tickity Mya (take odds of 2/1+)
Race #5 @ 19:44
Completing the trio of selections tonight is Tickity Mya. This is a decent race but from Trap 4, the bitch has the benefit of having had regular track and trip experience, which is not something that can be said for all of these.
Beaten only a short head in an Open Race at this venue in August, she’ll take all the beating if trapping with the same urgency as she did when third in a better race two runs back.
Lynn Cook is no stranger to Open Racing success at Nottingham, striking with a chunky 34.09% of her runners at this level in 2024. She looks to have every chance of another winner here and I’ll be on at odds of 2/1 or bigger.
