ABERDEEN and Motherwell have good reason to head into Saturday's encounter with plenty of confidence after the international break.
The Dons briefly sat on top of the Scottish Premiership last week on Saturday night after their last gasp injury time winner at Ross County to continue their perfect start under Jimmy Thelin.
It's nine wins in a row now in all competitions and he will draw level with Sir Alex Ferguson's record of ten wins on the spin set in 1983 if Aberdeen can beat Well at Pittodrie.
They have been the punters' pals this season and their last two games have seen a surge of money on them which has reduced their odds considerably before kick off.
Aberdeen are flying at the moment and they are already five points ahead of Rangers and 11 points ahead of last season's third place Hearts.
But Well are in a good place too after an encouraging start to the season and winning their past two games at home to Hearts and away at St Johnstone.
Manager Stuart Kettlewell, who brought in a staggering 15 players during the window, was rewarded for good work in Lanarkshire with a new deal.
How the bookies view it: Dons good things
Aberdeen are as short as 13/20 in places, but William Hill are still holding out at 7/10.
Motherwell have drifted out to 4/1 with Paddy Power and the draw is 14/5 with Ladbrokes.
Recent head to heads: Aberdeen had the upper hand
Despite Aberdeen's abysmal campaign last season, they still managed to win three out of their four games and drew the other one 3-3 at Pittodrie under Neil Warnock after being 3-0 behind!
Players to watch: Nisbet's the bet
Kevin Nisbit marked his arrival at Aberdeen with a 96th minute winner in Dingwall to send the visiting fans wild in the Highlands. It was his first goal for the Dons and he should probably start this. He is 13/8 to score anytime with bet365.
Moses Ebiye was the hero for Well in their last game when he netted an injury time winner in Perth to seal the points. He is 17/5 to score with UniBet.
Predicted line-ups:
Aberdeen will still be without Dante Polvara. Leighton Clarkson could feature after a shoulder injury.
Motherwell have doubts over Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, Callum Slattery, Filip Stuparevic, Harry Paton, Johnny Koutroumbis, Sam Nicholson and Shane Blaney.
Aberdeen: Mitov, Devlin, Rubezic, Molloy, MacKenzie, Shinnie, Heltne Nilsen, Keskinen, Besuijen, McGrath, Nisbet.
Motherwell: Oxborough, O'Donnell, Casey, Gordon, McGinn, Wilson, Zdravkovski, Halliday, Miller, Maswanhise, Robinson..
Anything else catch the eye?
Once again it could be the case of the early bird catches the worm for punters, with the advice being to try and snap up that Dons price before it contracts again.
Aberdeen are in a very good place and they look even stronger at their Pittodrie home. They won't expect it easy against Well, who are going great guns themselves, but they look too strong for the visitors here.
There should be plenty of corners here. Aberdeen like to play with width and Motherwell won 13 on their own at St Johnstone in the last game.
Go for over 10 with bet365 at 11/10.
