Football Bet of the Day 23rd august

Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Finnish top flight, and I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

⚽️ FC Lahti vs VPS

🇫🇮 Veikkausliiga

⏰ Sunday 25th August, 16:30

VPS will look to maintain their position inside the top-six as they travel to the Lahti Stadium to take on 10th-placed Lahti in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Ricardo Duarte’s hosts have scored 25 goals across their opening 20 Veikkausliiga fixtures this season, with 16 (64%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

The Black Drones have found the back of the net in each of their previous five league outings on home soil – notching on multiple occasions in four (80%) of them – and will look to continue their recent impressive goal-scoring run of form at home against a VPS backline that has recorded a solitary clean sheet on their travels this term, shipping multiple goals in each of their last four.

Jussi Nuorela’s hosts have scored 33 goals across their opening 20 encounters in the Finnish top flight this term, with 13 (39%) of them coming on their travels.

The Stripe have found the back of the net in all bar two of their opening 20 league outings this term – striking two or more goals in 11 (55%) of them – and will look to trouble a Lahti defence that has registered just three clean sheets across their last 19 league contests, with all three coming against the two sides below them in the table.

Bet of the Day

VPS’s opening 20 fixtures in the Finnish top flight are averaging 3.30 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in a league-high 16 (80%) of them, including in 9/10 (90%) of them on their travels – and given the same has landed in seven of Lahti’s last eight league contests on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on these two sides producing at least three strikes on Sunday afternoon.

  • Over 2.5 Goals
  • Pays 4/5 (William Hill)

Nope, just luck of the draw mate, all about who you pick&hope the players perform, remember its 90+ injury time&it’s real time which unfortunately we have no control over hence why bookies will always end up on top🤬
