We would like to welcome Attacanter Racing to the thread, Attacanter will be covering the Lucky 15 thread for the foreseeable future.
The introduction of our Lucky 15 was met with plenty of feedback from the regulars, with some failing to make a distinction between the two threads. Without you guys, this place is nothing, so we've looked into things and decided to adjust.
With the main thread providing our best four bets of the day, we feel the focus of the L15 page should remain true to the bet itself, to win a lot from a little, and as such the focus will shift to bigger priced selections in an each way format.
Attacanter Racing tips
Miss Brazen 7/1 – Thirsk 7.05
Miss Brazen is approaching a mark she should be capable from, she has failed at this course twice before but did win as a 2yo for Karl Burke. Her last run was pleasing enough, she travelled well for a long way but her jockey seemed content seeing the eventual winner go by. The race for a place will be hotly contested, my selection is dreadfully inconsistent but did run well a couple of times under similar circumstances last summer rated over 10 higher.
Pleka 9/2 – Wolverhampton 2.25
The favourite has been supported early and in all honesty, the debut run I watched from my selection didn't scream winner in waiting. She was behind Charlotte's Web and will need improve, a good few of her yard's 3yo winners did so second time out which is a positive. Gosden sent 3 novices to this track last August, one winner, a second and a forth (of 12) which reads well.
Amestris 7/1 – Newbury 3.45
Amestris was thought good enough to run in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot before a Group 3 last time at Glorious Goodwood. She has mixed it with plenty of winners so may be worth persisting with now dropped into a Listed race for a trainer who has sent out two winning two year olds in the last few days. His only other runner Clever Currency 13/8 goes in the last at Wolverhampton, a winner last time, the claimer puts him 4lbs lower, which on the face of it, looks interesting.
Lord Rapscallion 8/1 4 places – Newbury 4.20
The favourite is hard to avoid given his trainer has had 4 winners from his previous 6 runners, operating at 25% around Newbury. King Cabo has seemingly avoided a penalty for his recent success and remains well treated, that will make my inconsistent old boy an unlikely winner, but is chanced with top jockey Rossa Ryan booked. Now rated 73, a winner back in May 2023 off 80, he ran well last time when left alone in the middle of the track, plugging on in what was somewhat of a return to form.
Advised bet – Eachway Lucky 15
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
