Sunday's racing in Britain is quite lacklustre, but we think we've found some decent value for the Lucky 15 tips for Sunday.
Cairnzy and Rizzel have picked out two selections each for Sunday's lucky 15 bet.
Cairnzy's Tips
Sea La Venus 5/2 – Ripon 5.10
I thought the William Haggas filly Sea La Venus was worth another chance in this contest after disappointing on handicap debut last time out. She struggled to see out 1m4 on handicap debut, fading quickly in the final couple of furlongs. Dropped back to 1m2 should see her in better light, and a 2lb ease in the weights will also aid her cause in this contest.
Inspiral 11/4 – Deauville 3.04
Rizz has tipped up Charyn on the main thread and he's a worthy favorite on paper for this contest. Charyn brings the best recent form to the table and remains bang in form which Rizs has already stated in his main write up on that horse he hits the nail on the head. With that said, I personally fancy the chances of Inspiral, who is yet to face defeat over this C&D and is two from two at the track. This drop back to 7f could spark her into form and Ryan Moore takes the ride for connections.
Rizzel's Tips
High Violet 5/1 – Leicester 3.00
I thought that recent Leicester winner High Violet was worth a shot in this higher-class race. He managed to get off the mark last time out over today's C&D at the eighth time of asking, but that performance was by far the best, and it seems like he might have turned a corner. Since having his little mid-season break he has come back a different horse, with a second on her return, and then an average run, followed up by the win last time out.
Last time out he beat a couple of decent horses for the grade, which has since seen the runner-up winning next time out and the third-placed horse finishing behind the same horse who finished second behind High Violet.
First Encounter 7/2 – Leicester 4.30
First Encounter hasn't been staying over 10f on his previous attempts, but I think he is worth another attempt after the way he stayed on over a mile at today's venue last time out.
This race isn't that strong and First Encounter is obviously in good form having won last time out and put up a decent effort the time before over today's C&D. This isn't as big of a field that he has been running in, and that might play to his advantage with not a strong pace on the cards, which should play into First Encounter's hands given he has the speed over the shorter trips.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
