Cairnzy's Tips
My Dream World 6/1 – Sandown 3.50
This is a cracking little class 3 contest and you can make claims for nearly every single horse. I like the two at the top of the market can be taken on, and at the prices, I thought My Dream World was of interest for trainer Ben Brookhouse and jockey Jack Gilligan.
Still lightly raced after only 3 starts, My Dream World was quite impressive at Haydock last time out, when winning a maiden by just under 2L. My selection is making his handicap debut of a mark of 82 and I think that is potentially underestimating his ability. He's taking a step up in trip from 1m4 to 1m6 which I feel is a good move as he hit the line with something in hand at Haydock which is a course that demands a lot in terms of stamina.
The Crafty Mole 11/4 – Newbury 7.45
There is plenty of recent winning form in this race but I fancy the chances of Crafty Mole who arrives in the form of his life with recent form figures of 11311. This contest represents a step up in class but he looks like a horse still on the improve and on current form he looks worthy of getting the job done.
The Sir Mark Prescott-trained Warmonger looks like a big danger and remains unexposed over this sort of distance. At the prices I also like Robusto for trainer Eve Johnson, Robusto was a recent losing tip for me a month or so ago, but bounced back to form last time out at Kempton and Hollie Doyle is an eye-catching jockey booking.
Rizzel's Tips
Siempre Arturo 6/4 – Sandown 4.20
I am fairly sure that Cairnzy stuck Siempre Arturo up at some point during his winning streak, which saw him land a hattrick last time out at Newmarket when winning in good style, recording an RPR of 92 which was +12 to his rating at the time.
The handicapper has made life a little more difficult for him by raising him 6lbs in the handicap but with him being as progressive as he is, that doesn't look enough to stop the four-timer with the champ jockey, William Buick taking over this time. The Daniel and Claire Kubler yard are absolutely flying at the minute with 6 wins from their last 21 runners and when they opt for Buick, they are at a 29% SR.
Empire of Light 13/2 – Doncaster 4.15
Tim Easterby's Financer will be a tough nut to crack with that horse arriving on the look for the hat trick but I feel like GRand Tuer's Empire of Light could easily cause some problems for the in form horse.
Empire of Light went very close at Ayr just over a week ago and he is running off the same mark today, which makes him 4lb ahead of the handicapper as he is meant to go up in the weights next week due to him producing a much better rated performance at Ayr than his current rating. If he reproduces a similar level of run, he looks great value at his odds and is a nice bet for the Lucky 15.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
