For Wednesday's Lucky 15 tips Cairnzy and Rizzel have opted for horses from Kempton and Ffos Las.
Cairnzy's Tips
City Escape 9/2 – Ffos Las 18:50
City Escape is a proven and consistent C&D performer and he comes here with a solid chance under jockey Oisin Murphy.
He is on a mark of 54 which should make him highly competitive at this level and he also arrives in decent nick after being narrowly denied at Wolverhampton in his recent outing 10 days ago. City Escape tends to run more on the AW but he is effective on the turf as well.
God Of Fire 1/1 – Kempton 16.05
God Of Fire has been showing promising signs of improvement, notably when winning at Beverley on his most recent outing. He has a 5lb penalty to shoulder for that success, however he is technically 1lb well in as he races under the penalty instead of his new mark of 76. As his form seems to be on the up, he looks worth sticking with, despite his price not being that exciting.
Rizzel's Tips
Moel Arthur 11/4 – Kempton 17.40
This lightly raced six-year-old is well suited by today's C&D, with form figures of 3242. Though he hasn't managed to win at this track, his RPRs read, 84, 81, 81 and 79 so he has been running at a higher level than his handicap mark. Cheekpieces go on, which could bring out the improvement needed to get his second win of his career and Tom Marquand is a positive jockey booking as he is riding extremely well at the minute, with 11 wins in the last fortnight.
Salamanca Lad 7/2 – Kempton 18.40
The lightly raced horses will be drawing a lot of attention in the market as they will be making their handicap debuts, especially Overture as Sir Mark Prescott loves to have handicap blots. However, Salamanca Lad deserves to be towards the head of the market in this race based on his win at Leicester last time out when he made all under David Egan. William Buick gets in the saddle today, which is a big upgrade on Egan, and from Stall 3 he can employ the same winning tactics of last time out.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
