There’s an air of inevitability about tonight’s Champions League final and the bookies would have you believe it’s a mere procession for Manchester City to proclaim themselves Champions of Europe for the first time in their history.
But Inter Milan might have a thing or two to say about that. The three-time winners appear in their first final since 2010 when they thwarted Bayern Munich’s Treble chances under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
City have had a near-perfect route to the final. Goalless draws at Borussia Dortmund and Copenhagen were mere bumps in the road during the group stages but they swotted aside everyone they’ve met in the group stages. RB Leipzig were on the end of a 7-0 mauling at the Etihad (8-1 on aggregate) before Euro giants Bayern Munich were overpowered in the quarters (4-1 on aggregate), then came a statement performance against the mighty Real Madrid who were dismantled in Manchester en route to a 4-0 win and 5-1 aggregate victory for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Inter’s route has been a little less eye-catching. They suffered two defeats to Bayern in the group stages but they took four points from the two meetings with Barcelona to ensure a second placed finish. They then got the better of Portuguese sides, Porto (1-0) and Benfica (5-2) to set up a Milan derby in the semi-final. I Nerazzurri cruised through that one 3-0 on aggregate to qualify for their sixth final.
A win for the Italians would see them overtake Manchester United on the all-time winners list and of course it’s the Red Devils’ historic Treble of 1999 that City are attempting to emulate this evening.
On the betting front City are are 1/2 to win inside the 90 minutes and just 1/4 for them to lift the trophy. Inter are 3/1 to be champions and 11/2 to do it in 90 minutes.
Given how Man City have already demolished Real and Bayern and their current run of just one defeat in 26, it’s hard to make a case for anything other than the trophy making it’s way from Turkey back to Manchester and if Pep’s men score early it could be a long night for the Serie A side.
Simone Inzaghi’s men can’t go toe-to-toe with the Citizens so will no doubt set-up to keep things tight for as long as they can but City have so many goal threats throughout the team.
There’s no need to pore over Erling Haaland’s amazing stats in the competition, the fact that he’s 8/11 to score anytime tells it’s own story. A goal in the final is just about all that’s missing from his Champions League CV.
But De Bruyne (10/3), Silva (4/1) and Gundogan (10/3) have all weighed in with crucial goals in recent big matches which makes trying to choose a goalscorer bet a bit tricky.
Both Julian Alvarez (7/5) and Lautaro Martinez will be aiming to make it World Cup / Champions League Double and the latter will be Inter’s biggest goal threat at 7/2 but it’s telling that Bet365 have seven City players ahead of him in the betting.
It looks like a one-sided betting event so it’s all about trying to find a way to get on board with City. Haaland and co. have been rampant at times this season and have scored three or more in half of their Champions League games to date.
Over 2.5 City goals pays 7/4, while Over 2.5 match goals pays 4/5.
Despite being just 1/2 to win the Premier League champions are an attractive 11/8 to win to nil. They’ve kept a clean sheet in seven of 12 matches in the tournament and boasted the joint best defensive record in the Premier League.
Yep, it looks like it's Manchester City's to lose tonight and there's a good chance they'll sign-off an historic season in spectacular style.

like the look of at 8am
Yokohama F. Marinos v Kashiwa Reysol
Away side not scored in last 3 aways and yoko generally score in the first half recently. So I can’t see why they won’t be off the mark quick and should get at least 2 goals and win.
Yokohama F marinos win and over 2 match goals at william hill paying 3/4
Pen 12mins in! THAT WAS NOT A PEN!
THAT REF NEEDS SECTIONING
Refs on my payroll for this bet 😁
Win.. Just haha. Didn’t expect such a fight from Reysol
4-3 ft
Irish 4 fold close last night but as 3/4

Cockburn over 3.5mgs 10/11
All 5 games over 2.5mgs 4/1

The off the cuff comment the other week about football going the way of LIV golf…..are we witnessing the start of it? £86m per season for Benzema,Kante the same £86m per season,Mahrez been offered £40m per season.
Even though i think it’ll be a fad and will go nowhere fast money is king at the end of the day and greed will takeover
It’s absolutely bonkers mate moneys ruining the game , not just the crazy money the saudis are paying but even in our own premier league , players getting hundreds of thousands every week , they needs to be a cap…….
If the Premier league was to introduce a cap now then all the players would turn to the Saudi league. How can anyone justify that wage for Benzema at his age.. it’s crackers.
Not far off £10,000 per hour for Benzema, footballs heading towards a cliff edge if this is the way finances are going to go
If we’re to believe reports Ronaldo gets 3.4 million a week at Al-Nassr , a mean there’s no words are they…….
They used Ronaldo as an advertisement for their league, to make it look attractive to top players, China had a go a few years back it started well them petered out. If they have that much money that they don’t know what to do with it why not invest it in feeding the poorest nations and end starvation etc etc.
Well said macca . They would rather bomb them into oblivion than help feed some of their near neighbours
Macca they cant treat their own women & children with respect nevermind feed someone elses in another country that is outwith their backwards regime
sports washing their country at it’s best.
The difference with now and the Chinese phase of big money signings is that quite a few of the players that went to China were still relatively young and chose money over career.
Oscar and Hulk for example. They might of made a lot of money but they killed their careers. Don’t recall either playing for a big club again or for Brazil after going to China.
The Saudi thing is a no brainier for these guys. It’s too much to turn down. Although Benzema is still somehow top notch, most of them are way past their sell by date. Reminds me of the USA league in the 70’s. George Best, Pele, Beckenbauer, etc..
Hulk Is still playing in Brazil for Atletico Miniero btw, but the folk moaning about money were lapping it when PL sides started all this wi only Real & Barca competing for players then PSG. Not being funny but anyone offered that £££ would be crazy to say no
Alves clubs of premier league sides have been saying the money being paid to players is ridiculous for a long long time ,
Australia Npl western 8am
Cockburn over 3.5mgs 10/11**WON** Armadale amongst the goals once again
All 5 games over 2.5mgs 4/1**LOST** 4/5 landed
Hampy that yoko game was mad. Chucked a tenner on then at 66/1 -, was praying they didnt rule out that goal!!! 😎
No way haha. Did see the 66/1 talk about picking up late. Really didn’t expect it to be so tough for yoko to win tbh
Sagan Tosu v Consadole Sapporo
11am
Btts and over 2.5mgls 3/4
I can see both teams scoring but Consadole are far better in front of goal. I’d expect them to win and Btts but taking the slightly safer option after that yoko game this morning
Lost sorry guys though away side would of scored another at least.. 1-1
Still watch a bit of all leagues but the Scottish playoffs have been a good end to the season. No diving, good goals and good stories. Also the English playoffs but missed those coz of work.
Sheffield v Peterborough 4-4? Crazy match.
Money has spoiled sport.
Money 💰 is getting the best players but not best managers or coaches a vital clog in being succesful another Scottish won a European trophy midweek. How many English managers have achieved success I wonder.
An English managers has never won the English Premier league let alone brought European success in the last generation I believe.
Morning gents,
Those NI ladies did the business last night and wasn’t far off wth the score prediction of 1-5…ended 0-5!
Eyes on the big one tonight and fancy the following…
MAN CITY VS. INTER (8.00pm)

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

Jonkopings

Utsikten (all kick off at 2pm)
Over 2.5 mg’s treble 5/1
Goodluck all…….
I can afford it just found for me pointless betting for the sake of it and especially with it being my hard earned Dosh and the unpredictability of it all, good luck though, just sods law the only game chosen ended up goal less, you couldn’t make it up👍
I get what you mean mate but that’s your perspective on gambling most of us do it for abit of fun and can afford what we bet and most of all don’t need the constant jibes when a bet loses , if you’ve got an opinion on a bet maybe raise it before the games have started…….
Varbergs v Halmstad 430pm (Sweden)
Don’t understand the prices here.. Varbergs are 0-5-6 and bottom of the league on 5 points whereas Halmstad are 5-1-5 and 9th of 16 on 16 points. At home Varbergs are 0-3-3 scoring 2, conceding 12.. and away Halmstad are 2-0-3 scoring 6, conceding 12, so I wouldn’t thought Halmstad would’ve been much stronger favourites.. I’ll be on these;
Halmstad DNB 19/20
Halmstad 2+ TG 9/5
Ladbrokes.. BoL
FT 1-2 all good ✔️✔️
Nice one Fitzy 👍
Let’s see if we can end this poor run of form today 🫣

Crazy price, wish I’d noticed!
Well done 👍
Cheers jamesy, noticed yours has won in the land of ice too, well in laah 🇮🇸.
On a side note do you see inter scoring tonight ??.
I think BTTS at around 10-11 looks good, think lautaro Martinez and if he’s on fire, Lukaku can give city enough of a problem and inter under inzaghi have a stick ability in cup the last couple of seasons.
I see a 1-1 outcome, maybe 2-1 city if they really are as chilled as they are making out, I doubt that, they must be shitting themselves with the treble on the line, it’s human nature, and in a way it’s a free hit for inter as they have nothing to lose according to the bookies.
I’m going 4-1 City
Yeah, great shout Elvis – even over 2.5 match goals was 10/11…FH – the team that just keeps giving!
I’m keeping my powder dry for the big one tonight 🫰

After 1 billion pounds spent by Guardiola the plastics win the champions league. Fair enough he is a very good coach. A bad day for football. Chelsea bought it. Now man city. We only need PSG to win it now. Maybe in few years the Saudi teams will be allowed to play in the champions league. Golf had to give in the end.
I’m just glad Inter didn’t win it for their diving, feigning, grappling, underhand tactics.👍
Let’s hope pep calls it a day at city now and gives everyone else half a chance lol
All bets lost, no inter goal ☹️.
Man city were banned from playing in Europe a couple of years ago. Hired all the best lawyers , overturned the ban and paid a fine . Money talks and bull walks
Lossie Jim, inter could only win it the way they played. Personally I think inter had better chances to score in the game. If inter went toe to toe with city the would lose. Only klopp goes toe to with city.
Tonight’s boxing bet….
So many questions need answering in tonight’s Josh Taylor v Teofimo Lopez, Light Welterweight world title fight. The bookies have Taylor as favourite, which, slightly puzzles me. Hes coming in from a 15-16month break against an opponent, who only in his last couple of fights has stepped up in weight. Taylor’s last fight was that very lucky win against Jack Catterall and I remember thinking at the time, that he needs to move up in weight. He hasn’t.
I see this one going the distance (around 4/6).
But Lopez to win on points (11/4) does catch the eye.
GL all 🤞
That’s a first state owned team from the middle east won the champions league. Now expect man utd to finally sell to the middle east. I’m a liverpool supporter for over 35 years
Man city are owned by Etihad. There sponsor on the shirt is Etihad. The stadium is called Etihad. Arsenal are not owned by Emirates. When the truth comes out. I think man city should be stripped of titles won in the premiership if found guilty. It won’t happen. They will probably pay a fine . Maybe get relegated to championship. In Scotland rangers got relegated to the 3rd division. Since I can remember from the start of the premiership man city were not a good team. Neither was chelsea. Tottenham will always be Tottenham. Liverpool, man utd and arsenal were the the big 3
KALSINGH1977
The first Rangers deceased after being liquidated and the newco were granted a licence and started again in the Scottish 4th tier in 2012.
A few years ago there was a break away super league. UEFA blocked it. But in 2 years time there is an expanded champions league, instead of 6 matches you play 10 matches and also play a 32 club world club team tournament ever 4 years. Fifa also wants the nations league which is pointless, wants to add south American countries to compete in the nation’s league. Fans didn’t want any breakaway. They getting it gradually now. Its already happening before your eyes. Fans cant see it
Should a footballer really get that much than a normal working man. Should an actor. Its entertainment. The real working man pays for the footballers wage to watch. But its getting to a stage I think . The fake supporters will win. Man city shop in China, how many teams does Etihad group own . Buy man city’s strip . The strip never leaves but fans bought the strip. Etihad made a profit.
Last year liverpool were going for the quadruple. They came 2 games short. Few days later Man city announced the signing of halland . Cheaper price. But more than trebled his wages from Dortmund. Why. To inflate the price and going rate. Mane left liverpool to get the same rate at Bayern and liverpool had to give Salah the same as harland. Is john stones worth 50 million. Nope. Jack grealish 100 nope . Question for Macca the red . How many many city players would get in the liverpool first 11 tomorrow. Diaz. Rodri maybe. De bruyne. I don’t think he would. Halland even Wouldn’t . What’s your opinion
Man Utd 1999 won it with a more organic side consisting of youth players who flourished under Fergie as he took pride like his idol Jock Stein who conquered Europe with 13 players from within 30 miles of Glaagow Celtic Park.
The difference being Man City did the treble, last season Liverpool never did the quadruple or even treble, that’s what the history books will show.
No joy with my pens in Turkey LOSERS

“The greatest feat in football. They set the pattern for a period, particularly when Man Utd the next year did it. From 65-67, if someone had written a book about it they would call it fiction. It was amazing.”
Alex Ferguson on Celtic defeating inter Milan
