CELTIC and Rangers meet yet again on Sunday in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and both sides go into this with that rarest of backgrounds…neither of them won last week.
With the Hoops just one win away from a title that has long since been wrapped up, this is Rangers' last chance to end their season with silverware as they aim to repeat last season's Scottish Cup triumph.
But to do it they will have to beat Celtic for the first time this season and Michael Beale will face real scrutiny if he doesn't find a way to defeat Ange Postecoglou's men.
Last week, they were given the tiniest chink of light when Celtic finally failed to win a domestic game at home after they dropped points for the first time this season when Motherwell held them to a draw.
But Rangers then went to Pittodrie and produced a timid display in the second half in particular to crash to a dismal 2-0 defeat at Aberdeen.
These sides met earlier this month in the usual controversy-filled powderkeg of a fixture which Celtic won 3-2 and referee Kevin Clancy got online threats after disallowing a Rangers goal.
There was a general feeling that Celtic were poor and Rangers matched them at the very least. But the grim reality for the Ibrox club was that Celtic still won when they were miles from their best.
How the bookies view it
Celtic are favourites here at 13/10 with McBookie.com. Rangers can be backed at 21/10 with bet365 and the draw is 23/10 with Paddy Power.
McBookie.com have Rangers are 21/20 and Celtic at 3/4 to qualify.
Recent head to heads
Celtic have won three of the four meetings between the clubs this season with the other game a draw at Ibrox.
However, Rangers can take some comfort in that they won at the same stage of the competition last season 2-1 after extra time.
Players to watch
Kyogo Furuhashi has been the hammer of Rangers this season with five goals in this fixture in the last three games. The Japanese genius is 6/4 with William Hill.
James Tavernier scored a double against Celtic at Parkhead in the last fixture to take him up to 100 goals. The set piece specialist and penalty taker is 7/2 with Paddy Power to score anytime.
Anything else catch the eye?
At the risk of being repetitive, it's very hard to build a case for anything other than yet another Celtic win here. When even normally optimistic Rangers fans are going into this fixture full of dread, it tells its own story.
Celtic spent 90 minutes misplacing passes, being defensively fragile and had too many big players in the last game who just didn't perform. And they still won.
This Rangers team look defensively weak, don't take anywhere near enough of their chances and there are question marks about their mentality too.
The last two games, we have also suggested Celtic to win and both teams to score – since Celtic are far from perfect at the back either – and it's come up twice. There's every chance it will be three in a row at 31/10 with McBookie.com.
Finally, there's a good chance Rangers could be chasing this match for spells in the games and will need to attack. They won 8-4 in corners in the League Cup Final a few weeks ago, so back them to win the most corners with bet365 in a match bet.
