This lunchtime sees Celtic and Rangers meet for a fourth time this season and it could be a decisive one as far as the Cinch Premiership is concerned.
The blue half of Glasgow aren't quite ready to admit that the race for the title is over, despite Celtic's 9 point lead and a vastly superior goal difference, but defeat today would definitely have the fat lady doing a soundcheck.
The Hoops have had the upper hand in derbies this season, winning comfortably 4-0 at Celtic Park, grabbing a 2-2 draw at the start of the year at Ibrox and picking up the first piece of silverware in a 2-1 League Cup final victory at Hampden.
And with no away fans to embolden Michael Beale's men at Celtic Park this lunchtime it's hard to make a case for anything other than a Hoops victory.
Seldom have both sides gone in to the fixture in such winning form. Rangers remain unbeaten in the league under Beale, only Celtic have blemished his impressive Premiership record of 14 wins and a draw since his arrival. Indeed, it's a measure of the relentless form the Bhoys have shown that Rangers have failed to close the gap on their rivals in that time.
Undoubtedly Rangers have improved under Beale but it's Celtic's 4-0 win in this fixture back in September that will have given their fans a sleepless night last night. Celtic lost Kyogo through injury a matter of minutes in to that one but blew Rangers away in a devasting first 45 in which they race in to a three-goal lead. That fast start has become a trademark of Ange Postecoglou's side and we should probably expect to see the same again today.
Celtic have found the net inside the first 15minutes in 50% of their Premiership matches this season and they've scored inside the first 10 minutes in four of the last seven meetings between the sides. Another early goal today pays 5/1, while a goal for either side in the first 10 is 3/1.
Kevin Clancy is the man in the middle and he's brandished a league-high, six red cards in the Premiership to date. There's not been a red card in the last 8 clashes between the two – there were five in the eight previous to that – so if you think there's one overdue you can have 5/2 on someone taking an early bath.
Aberdeen have been backed to win at home to Kilmarnock later in the day . The visitors have yet to record an away league win all season whilst resurgent Aberdeen have been given a new lease of life under temporary manager Barry Robson. The Dons have closed the gap on Hearts to just one point and have been pretty solid at home where they've won 10 of 15. At the time of writing they're 8/11 but will probably go off even shorter so get on early.
Motherwell are another team on the up under a new gaffer. Stuart Kettlewell has guided the Steelmen to four wins, a draw and a solitary defeat (at home to Rangers) since he took up the hotseat at Fir Park, sterring them clear of relegation concerns. They host a Livingston side who's season looks in danger of fizzling out.
Livi's only win in seven was against Ross County and they're now in danger of missing out on a top six finish. Well were 23/20 earlier in the week but now in to 11/10. Still backable at that price though.
In the Championship Hamilton can boost their survival chances against a hapless Cove Rangers who have been free-falling down the table. Cove were 10 points ahead of the Accies when Jim McIntyre departed to be replaed by Paul Hartley, defeat today would see them fall five points behind and in big, big trouble.
Hamilton were thumped 7-0 by Dundee in the wake / hangover of their Scottish Challenge Cup success but bounced back with a win over Raith Rovers in midweek and can add another three points at 11/10. They're the same price to score two or more and the way Cove ship goals that's a good option too.
In League One Dunfermline can take themselves to the brink of the title with a win at second placed Falkirk. The Bairns are winless in four and now nine points behind the Pars who'd love nothing more than to wrap up the title in style. 7/4 on the away win is tempting.
In the Premier League only Arsenal and Manchester City have won more points than Aston Villa since Unai Emery arrived at Villa Park. They made it three victories in a row with a late winner at Leicester City in midweek and on current form should take care of business against a Nottingham Forest side who have the worst away record in the division. A Villa win combined with Over 1.5 match goals pays 1/1.
Newcastle will be popular with punters too at 21/20 after their win over Manchester United and a 5-1 hammering of West Ham which made it 12 unbeaten in the capital for the Eddie Howe's men. But Brentford are enjoying a brilliant season and their defeat at Old Trafford on Wednesday was only their second in 17 league outings. A share of the spoils looks very possible between the Bees and the Magpies.
A 4/5 (or thereabouts) double isn't everyone's cup of tea but the Manchester Double pays just over at 87/100 today. Manchester United have lost just once at Old Trafford in the league, visitors Everton have won just once on their travels so the home win looks nailed on in the early kick-off. In the evening Manchester City are unlikely to slip up at Southampton who have taken 10 points from a possible 42 at St Mary's.

Germany Reginal West and Wattenscheid are out again which usually means goals. Theres been 117 goals in their 28 league games to date with 79 of those ending up in their own net but despite sitting 2nd bottom they have still managed to net 38 times & 24 have come in their 14 home fixtures.
Their last 8 home league games…..2-1,1-1,3-2,4-5,4-3,1-3,2-3,2-3

Avoid Bet365 if your going bookings in the Old Firm game.
Allan Macgregor at 11/4,a man that has had 6 yellows in his last 103 league games, the same price as Ryan Kent who has the same amount of yellows in the league this season than MacGregor has managed since the start of the 20/21 season
They’ve got Lundstram 11/10 & he is 5/2 at Hills
Ryan Jack 8/5 & 21/10 at Hills
Probably better elsewhere
Fancy both of these above for a card if either start and a Kyogo goal.See what the team news brings
A quick heads up. For the first time, Betfair & PaddyPower have a player fouls market for the Old Firm.
Prices are obviously not as good as for cards, but I’ve had reasonable success doing 4 fold ACCAs with PaddyPower – free bet if 1 leg fails, max £10 per day (just make sure you wait for confirmed team news before placing)
Watch these foul bets if the game is not stopped and a free kick awarded it will not count.
Celtic vs Rangers
Cantwell to be booked @ 15/8 (skybet) Nap
Small stake
Cantwell to be sent off @ 33/1 (Whill)
Didn’t start the last game against Celtic but still managed to pick a booking up in that game. Having watched him since joining Rangers for me he has a bit of a fiery nature about him, tries to wind opponents up, seems to love sticking a tackle in, can be argumentative with the ref and has been involved in numerous flash points in other games. For his first outing away to Celtic this for me points to a card.
Not often I use a nap stake for a player booking but have been eyeing this bet up for a while and it’s now confirmed he starts the game. Have a feeling this one’s going to be tasty.
Good luck today 🤞

UFC 287 Picks. Tough card so small stakes on these but lots of plus money shots. I’m a big fan of Izzy but you gotta bet with your head & have to take Alex Pereira as an underdog at 2.10. He’s beat Izzy 3 times now so the mental advantage is huge! Also like the fight not to go the distance at 1.76. Holland inside the distance 2.30. Raul Rosas inside the distance at 2.25.Curtis to win at 2.10. Williams, Rosas & Burns treble at 2.11. Williams/Pfyfer double 1.84. Longshot of Waterson to win at 2.40. Double of Holland/Ponzi fight & GM3/Pyfer fights not to go the distance at 2.03. All with Bet365.
Premier League bets: Bournemouth goal before 65min at 1.83. Over 2.5 goals in Leicester/Bournemouth game at 1.9. Draw Brentford/Newcastle game at 3.60. Over 2.5 goals in Wolves/Chelsea game at 2.2. BTTS in Saints/City game at 2.05. All with Bet365. Not betting on the Gunners game tomorrow but pretty confident we should dominate Liverpool….. they’re at home so you never know though. Only 1-2 of their players might actually get into this Arsenal side which is mental considering the past few years. We’re just on a different level now. They’re fighting for a conference league spot & we’re fighting for the title. 29 points above them says it all…but yeh we’ll see how tomorrow goes. Enjoy!
This coming from a team that got knocked out the Europa league, gloating over champions league qualification says it all, just hope they do some good in the Champions league highly doubt it like as qualification for the new format is a bit more awkward.

rangers in reasonable form this season in serie B, losing just 1 of 7 games take on a reformed Linares side who play in a league below, all 5 Linares games so far seen BTTS and overs, losing 4 of them.
Rangers lost 3-2 away to a team in Linares league at this stage last year !!
Finished Linares 1 rangers 2…..
Well done Elvis, needed that!!!😊👍💪
Was waiting on louis oosthuizen to miss the cut for my bet. He withdrew on the 18th hole of the second round while 7 over par. William hill have settled the bet as a loser when i questioned this on the live chat i was told because he teed off the bet is a loser but surely the only way i can be beat is if he makes the cut at worst it should be void?
Just had it confirmed by management that this bet is a loser. So just to confirm william hill have said louis oosthuizen did not miss the cut in the masters even though he didnt tee off for the third round. Cheats for me as im sure they would have settled it as a loser if i had him to make the cut also
This is so bad. Especially at 7+. When the cut is +3
This is crazy reasoning. According to their rules this bet should be a winner.
This is on the rules page for William Hill under Golf>>> To miss the cut
“If the selected player retires or is disqualified after they’ve teed off in the first round, bets placed on this market will stand.”
100% you need to complain and then take this through to IBAS.
They quoted me this exact rule as why my bet is lost… you couldnae make it up
