Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish League Two, and I’m keen to get the in-form visitors onside against their struggling hosts.

⚽️ East Fife vs Stirling Albion

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 League Two

⏰ Saturday 4th February, 15:00

Stirling Albion will look to keep pace with league leaders Dumbarton as they travel to Bavview Stadium to take on out-of-form East Fife tomorrow afternoon.

East Fife’s poor run of form continued last weekend, as they were beaten 3-0 away at Annan Athletic. Greig McDonald’s hosts have now taken just five points from the previous 27 available (W1-D-L7) to see them slip down into seventh place, just six points off the bottom spot. The Fifers blast the third-worst defence in the Scottish fourth tier, conceding 37 goals across 22 league fixtures this season – with 19 of those coming at home.

Stirling Albion claimed their third straight victory in the league last time out with a 1-0 success at home to Stranraer. Darren Young’s visitors have now won 10 of their previous 13 league outings (W10-D1-L3), meaning they sit in second position, four points behind Dumbarton with a game in hand. The Binos are the highest-scoring side in the Scottish fourth tier, netting 40 goals across their opening 19 league fixtures this season.

Bet of the Day

These two sides head into this fixture in contrasting forms, and it’s hard to envisage the promotion-chasing visitors not collecting all three points against the side with the worst home record in the division.

As already mentioned, Stirling Albion are the highest-scoring side in the division, scoring 40 goals across their opening 19 league outings. The Binos have found the back of the net in 12 of their previous 13 league matches – scoring on multiple occasions in nine of those – and I’m backing them to bag another double away to an East Fife side that has kept just one clean sheet across their previous 18 league fixtures, conceding two or more goals in seven of their last 10.

  • Stirling Albion to Score 2+
  • Pays 1/1 (William Hill)

Just not getting the rub of the green bud, when COVID hit and there was no football I saved a mini fortune and what a wake up call it was for me,I betted regularly, most days and a fair amount of money but now just a few bets aweek and alot less money,I don’t get that urge anymore, when I find football results frustrating I just take a break now,my hard earned money and not losing more to try and get it back, over the course of the year I think people don’t realise you do level stakes so normally no damage done,gl bud👍
