SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Leicester's Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

Leicester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion (Saturday, 15:00)

Two slides heading in opposite directions in the Premier League table do battle at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, as Leicester City play host to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Given some of the heights Leicester have reached in recent years, playing Championship football seemed inconceivable not so long ago, but the Foxes are at a real risk of falling back into second tier having lost each of their four post World Cup league games, most recently at Nottingham Forest.

In stark contrast, Brighton will be brimming with confidence and in buoyant mood after making light work of Liverpool last weekend, moving up to the lofty heights of seventh place in the standings in the process.

That is reflected in the match odds, with Albion general 11/10 favourites here, but as tends to be the case, I’m more than happy to get creative by constructing a Bet Builder.

Coupling up Over 1 Match Goal with Over 2 Match Cards will bring about 4/5 (Bet 365) shot and I'm happy to get on-board at that price on Saturday.

Goals have been a regular feature in games involving these two sides this term, with 15 of Leicester's 19 Premier league games featuring at least two strikes, while 14 of Brighton’s 18 outings have broken the Over  1.5 Goal barrier.

What’s more, Brighton have improved dramatically when it comes to their attacking outputs since Roberto De Zerbi's arrival as manager, with a whopping nine of their 12 league games under the Italian’s watch featuring three or more goals.

It’s also worth pointing out that the high-flying Seagulls have averaged two team goals per-game under the Italian's guidance, not to mention they have failed to keep the back door shut on a sizeable 10 occasions.

Given that neither defence is reliable and each side carries an attacking threat, I’m more than happy to side with a minimum of two match goals here, but to bring about the 4/5 (Bet 365) bet, I’ll also throw over two match cards into the mix.

Admittedly, both of these sides aren’t particularly prolific when it comes to picking up cards, with Leicester averaging 1.26 per-game, and Brighton 1.44, however both teams combining for 3+ cards doesn't look out of reach in what should be a closely-fought contest.

As for the Referee, Thomas Bramall will oversee proceedings at the King Power, with the newly-ratified Premier League whistler producing three or more cards in each of the four top-flight games that he has taken charge of this term to date.

With all things considered, as well as the fact this formula would have yielded profit from each of Brighton’s last eight league games, supporting the same Bet Builder on Saturday stands out at 4/5 (Bet 365).

Recommended Bet

  • Over 1 Goal in the Match
  • Over 2 Cards in the Match
  • Bet Builder – 4/5 (Bet 365)
