CELTIC fans have enjoyed the first chunk of the season having opened up a seven-point gap on Rangers and it would be a major surprise if they couldn't at least maintain that in the final game before the World Cup break when Ross County visit.
The Hoops' win at Motherwell in midweek was certainly one of their least convincing victories all season and there are signs they could do with the break.
They needed two injury time goals to see off then-bottom side Dundee United last week and their Champions League exertions looked like it might be catching up with them.
Having said that, having won 13 of their 14 league games they are hardly approaching crisis!
However, County could give them a game and they will come into this on a high. After plummeting to the bottom of the league, they have responded magnificently with two huge home and away wins against in-form St Mirren and away at Hibs.
Malky Mackay will send his Staggies out to have a go here and it could be an entertaining affair
How the bookies view it
Celtic will be many punters' solid acca banker at 1/9 with 10Bet – they are as low as 1/16 in places.
Ross County can be backed at a massive 40/1 with Coral to spring a huge shock. Even the draw is 12/1 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Celtic have already won twice in the Highlands this season – 4-1 and 3-1 in the League and League Cup. Celtic have won the last six meetings between the sides.
Players to watch
Kyogo Furuhashi has got over his World Cup snub in fine fashion for his club and has scored in his last three league matches. the Japanese forward is 4/6 with Ladbrokes to make it four.
Alex Iacovitti has already scored two goals against Celtic this season and also netted against Hibs in midweek. The defender is a threat on set-plays and is a huge 28/1 with bet365 to score anytime.
Anything else catch the eye?
Ross County are nowhere near as bad as the odds suggest and are being seriously disrespected here. While winning or even taking something from Parkhead is a big ask, the Hoops are not quite at their best at the moment and County usually score as they have done twice already against Celtic.
Celtic to win and both teams to score is a very decent price of 21/10 with bet365.
The Dingwall side are evens with a three-goal start too with bet365 and they have to be backed in the handicaps given they are coming into this on good form.
Celtic's defence looks slightly leaky at the moment and County to at least score at 13/10 with McBookie.com looks to have a good chance too.
