We were fortunate to walk away with a 5/2 winner on Tuesday from the NAP winning at Redcar. The Kevin Ryan horse was unlucky by not getting a run, but sometimes you have luck on your side, and I'll definitely be on the other side on many occasions in the future. As for the other selection, Zim Baby is on a fast downward spiral and the small break she had didn't revive any of her previous form.

Some of you might remember at the start of the flat season I tipped up MISE EN SCENE for the 1000 Guineas. She was a NR on the day as she had a problem which saw her not much till the Irish 1000 Guineas, where she finished tailed off. That clearly wasn't a true showing of her ability, and I get the impression she either suffered another setback or she wasn't fully ready for that run as it seemed too bad to be true.
Since then she has run once, in a Group 3 at Sandown which Potapova won. I think that form is strong, with the runner-up Grand Dame looking like a nice horse who is capable of competing in the Class 1 races. Mise En Scene ran an eye-catching race back in 6th where she was held up from off the pace but stayed on strongly in the final furlong to suggest there is still something left with this horse, who had previously been a smart 2yo. That trip seemed on the short side during this part of her career, so it's no surprise to see James Ferguson deciding to put her up in trip by an extra 2f. Though this trip is an unknown, based on that last run you'd have to say it's worth a try.
Her pedigree would suggest that this new trip could bring out further improvement, being out of an unraced Galileo mare, which normally generates a good amount of stamina (from Galileo), combining that with her sire Siyouni, the ground should be fine, which will more than likely go to good or get slightly quicker than it's current good to soft, but still ride on the slowish side. There are winners over this kind of distance in the pedigree, so I think she rates a good candidate and decent enough odds at around 5/1, which I will be betting as EW as it does look like a competitive race.

With a lot of forecast rain, I am expecting a fair amount of non-runners in this contest, which will more than likely ruin the price of BAYSIDE BOY. However, at the current odds of 11/8, though it doesn't seem appealing, I think he holds the best chance in this race by quite a fair bit based on the conditions likely to come.
He has raced on soft ground once, which saw him finish 3rd in a Group 1 behind Luxembourg in the Vertem Futurity at the back end of last season. Though that doesn't prove that he totally enjoys those conditions, it is a lot better than the other horses in the race who have either been pulled out on soft ground or have run shockers on it.
This race has been dominated over the years by 3yo's, so with Bayside Boy being the only 3yo in the race, it's no surprise to see him well fancied. He has been a bit of a hindrance to himself this season, looking like a horse who doesn't have his mind fully on the race, so Roger Varian has opted for the first-time Blinkers, which should help him be fully focused on the task in hand. Buick takes over from Egan, which is a big positive in my eyes, and I'm hoping that all horses line up to avoid rule 4's.
Capitol Flyer 2.52 Beverly. Steps up another furlong after coming from the back to finish 5th last time out. Probably more of an ew extra bet at 60s for top 5 ( hopefully nothing gets pulled out, only 9 runners) or 150s for top 3 if your feeling brave

George ridsdale 5-05 Beverley.
45-1 bet365 ew extra 7 places.
80-1 ew 4 places (small stake)
Had it’s 1st run here recently for 600 days and maybe got rid of some ring rust.
Won twice in September 2020, sure Alan money Thompson tipped it both times.
Hoping it’s still holds some of that form and easterby still trains him so presumably thinks he still has something to offer.
Thanks for the tips yesterday at yarmouth. Was a very hard day to get winners though. Definitely a lot of happy bookies. Tarhib seemed to be the only bit of light for punters. Back there again today, so once again will be keeping an eye out for all of your selections 👍 GL all!
