With Rizzel feeling under the weather, I’ve been asked to cover Sunday's racing tips. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
Not really much on offer in terms of quality but I’ve had a quick look and scraped together a selection that I think could run a big race at decent odds.
My selections on Friday unfortunately were duds. My outsider selection “just bring it” drifted out to 50s at one point and I actually thought she travelled quite nicely into the race but when she was told to go and land a blow the inexperience kicked in and she very quickly fell away. That aside I think connections can be happy enough with that effort given it was the first run and she’s maybe one for the tracker.
The biggest disappointment of the day was my NAP Mohaafeth. I’m starting to stare down the route now that he’s maybe looking like a lost cause after looking like a superstar last season. Connections won’t give up on him anytime soon but it’s worrying for sure.
Onto the sole selection for tomorrow.
2:40 Salisbury
I like the looks of the feature race at Salisbury at 2:40 for my only selection on Sunday.
Ed Walker's Canoodled I think looks a cracking each-way bet at 8s. Especially given there are 4 places on offer.
Walker has his stable in decent nick and the booking of Tom Marquand is a massive plus. One thing with Tom Marquand that I really like is he takes that horse right to the line and the effort doesn’t dip until the race is over.
I’m seeing too many jockeys looking half-arsed at times Paul Mulreenan in particular is one who I’ve noticed recently is shocking for it.
Canoodled drops into a class 5 event after recently contesting and running well in class 4 where he chased home Archie Watsons Artic Emperor at Newmarket last month.
He also finished ahead of Andrew Balding's flying high who has since finished 2nd in a class 3. I think the form of that particular race stands Canoodled in good heart.
A lot in this field haven’t really been up to much form-wise and have question marks on their heads. Hence why I’ve opted for a horse who’s at least running well in recent races and is knocking on the door.

🇨🇦 Woodbine pick Delilah’s Revenge was scratched…so predictably the horse that was 1 and 1/2 length 2nd to it went off 5/4 and romped it.
Lots of scratch’s and lots of favourites going on watching Stateside live’ if you can grab them early for doubles n trebles or singles if you fancy it enough but I’m betting for fun with Sunday TV pi$$.
