THERE is a rare occurrence happening in Scotland – and something only the English can dream of.

That's right – all six games are kicking off on a Saturday … and at 3pm.

Who said traditionalism is dead. Inverness certainly know something about timing and when it's the perfect moment to play Celtic – right after a Champions League defeat.

And as luck would have it they're off to Parkhead today to face a side licking their wounds after a shocker to Shakhter Karagandy.

It's all or nothing in the second leg on Wednesday and surely Neil Lennon will be wrapping his stars in cotton wool.

ICT arrive in Glasgow on a high – top of the table after three successive victories and boasting a fine record at the home of the champions.

They won 1-0 at Parkhead last season, days after Celtic's defeat away to Benfica in the group stage. You can never write off Celtic but a price of 13-2 at Skybet on Terry Butcher's men is tempting.

I backed against the Hoops last weekend and it all went pear-shaped when keeper Jamie Langfield was sent off and Kris Commons opened the scoring from the spot.

So it will be split stakes on ICT and ICT not to lose (double chance) at 9-5 with Paddy Power.

Hitman Billy McKay has started the season the way he ended the last and is 10-1 at Stan James to score first and 11-4 with William Hill to net at anytime.

For Celtic, who are a biggest 1-2 at Betfred and BetVictor, I'd check team news before considering betting on a scorer.

Elsewhere the best bets could be Aberdeen at a Hearts side battling hard but short of goals and experience.

The Dons were unlucky last week and are 5-4 favourites with Ladbrokes and Betfred for their visit to Tynecastle.

They've lost their last four visits there to nil and by more than one goal – but Derek McInnes's men look in decent shape. Niall McGinn is 15-8 at BetVictor to score and make amends for the sitter he missed against Celtic.

St Johnstone have possibly been the surprise package of the season having won two out of three and kept three clean sheets – as well as winning 1-0 away to both Rosenborg and Minsk in the Europa League.

I fancy Saints at 7-4 (various) to pick up the points and I'm tempted by a punt on 1-0 at 8-1 with Ladbrokes.

Hibs did well to snatch a point and their first goal against Dundee Utd last weekend and may pick another at a Killie side missing Kris Boyd who has hit their only two goals of the campaign.

No scorer at 19-2 is a possibility while under 2.5 goals at 4-5 with Paddy Power looks likely.

There could also be draws at Motherwell v Partick Thistle and Ross County v St Mirren.

Recommended Bets

ICT double chance
(9-5, Paddy Power)

Aberdeen
(5-4, Ladbrokes, Betfred)

St Johnstone
(7-4, various)

bixie, that was a real surprise although maybe we’ll now see the real Dundee Utd. If Greg was there he can maybe tell us what went wrong. Again Greg fancied them and the Racing Post had them as their headline Scottish top so we all got it wrong. Southampton, Saints and Aberdeen cost me today. I can’t fathom how the Dons can lose to a young and inexperienced 10-man Hearts.
