IT was clear Manchester United’s megastars had stopped playing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so it will be interesting to see how they perform tonight in the first game since his sacking.

The stakes are high as defeat to Villarreal in the Champions League could see United drop out of the top two in Group F.

United were a shambles at the weekend so I’m surprised to see them as McBookie’s 7/5 favourites with Unai Emery’s side 9/5 shots.

We saw five goals when these teams met at Old Trafford but this might be cagier with Michael Carrick at the helm as caretaker.

So I’m backing under 2.5 strikes at 11/10 with BoyleSports while the half-time stalemate also appeals at 14/11 with VBet.

While United are in crisis, things couldn’t be going much better for Chelsea as the Euro champions lead the way in the Premier League.

The only blip in the defence of their Champions League crown has been a defeat by Juventus but they get the chance to avenge that tonight.

The Blues are McBookie’s 4/6 favourites but I’m betting on under 2.5 goals instead, which is a little bigger at 6/7 with SBK.

There’s not a great deal between the teams and a one-goal winning margin for either side also looks good at 11/8 with McBookie.

It’s win or bust for Barcelona at home to Benfica in Group E and that makes for an open game.

Memphis Depay has been Barca’s go-to guy for goals and he’s 5/4 at Unibet for anytime scorer.

Super Singles

  • Under 2.5 goals in Villarreal (11/10, Boylesports)
  • Memphis Depay anytime scorer (5/4, Unibet)

McBookie Bet Builder

  • Combining under 2.5 goals with BTTS no at Chelsea pays 102/100

Very risky going unders in the Man Utd game, you have stated they are now playing under Carrick they was always playing under Carrick/Solksjaer so nothing has changed in terms of coaching staff.Man Utd not bringing in an immediate replacement for Solksjaer could be even more damaging to a already frail team.Villarreal could have had six or seven at Old Trafford..

Just had a feeling they would tighten up a bit with Ole gone. Riskiest bet was actually the only one that landed. Big test will be at Chelsea on Sunday, can see that being pretty comfortable for the Blues if they hit top form
