Belgium Under-20 v Portugal U-20 (Toulon Tournament)
BELGIUM go into the game downhearted after kicking off with a narrow defeat to powerhouses Brazil.
In a game of two halves they more than matched the Brazilians for 40 minutes but were clear second best for the remainder of the game.
Belgium U-20s are a big and powerful side but do possess good craft and a decent passing ability. They were undone by the running play of Brazil and both full-backs were struggling.
Belgium have only made the tournament twice and have a best of beaten semi-finalists. Players to look out for are Paul Jose M’poku of Standard Liege, a strong central midfielder, and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco of Monaco who is a hot prospect.
Portugal U-20s had a free game as the groups are made up of five teams. A traditional European powerhouse at this level Portugal go into the tournament as one of the favourites.
They have contested this final five times with two victories so know how to get results here. Key players for Portugal will be central midfielder Joao Mario Eduardo who is already a regular at Sporting Lisbon. Attacking threat will come from winger Ricardo Esgaio who has had a tremendous season at Sporting B with 17 goals in 27 matches and striker Aladje who plays in Italy.
This should be a close match but I am siding with Portugal. A traditionally good side who have players even at this age in the top division of Portugal, most of the other squad members are with one of the big sides B teams who are now playing in league 2 of Portugal also so good exposure for these players.
These games are only over 80 minutes and it's difficult to get a range of prices as bookmakers are usually wary to offer these games. Bet365 are best price Portugal at 2.50 and it does seem value, quotes of 2.20 are available elsewhere.

MEXICO v NIGERIA
In a warm up game for the 2013 Confederations cup Mexico face up to Nigeria in a friendly international, to be played in Houston. As this game is so close to the Mexican border expect it to be a home from home for the Central American champions.
Mexico prevailed in the 2011 Concacaf Champions despite a worried backdrop of clenbuterol doping. In a fierce final against eternal rivals USA, the Mexicans went 2 goals down early on but still managed to claw their way back and win a thrilling encounter 4-2. Form since New Year 2011 has been exceptional with 10 wins, 4 draws and 1 defeat. Including in that period are a sequence of games in the US. 7 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat is an exceptional run in their home from home. Mexico have a hugely experienced squad with tremendous strength in depth. They are a very fluid side that adapts to the opposition in game, a very unique trait and one that has served them well over the last few years. The side has a core of players who have all played together for many a year and with the team more busier than most on the international circuit this is a real team in all senses of the word. Key men through the side are striker Chicarito (exceptional international record of 30 goals in 46 games despite still being only 24) Giovanni Dos Santos – a player who has long since flattered to deceive at club level but is capable of destroying opposition at the highest level. Alongside stalwards such as Carlos Salcido and Andres Guardado.
Nigeria have long since promised so much without delivering over the years, this run ended after a well deserved African Cup of Nations in January this year. They had a complete overhaul of the side and out went all the over achieving players who had dragged their heels for so long. The squad now is formed of players mainly under 26. Indeed only Kalu Uche of the outfield players is over 26! Nigeria are a real tough side with great energy and pace. The side is packed with quality and experience despite the young nature of it. Vincent Enyeama in goal is a decent custodian while the midfield has Jon Obi Mikel and Sunday Mba in the centre. The forward line has an embarrassment of riches with the likes of Emenike, Moses and Uche vying for a start. Defence is their only possible weakness with most of the backline playing in Nigeria. Nigeria have only played 2 friendlies this year due to the international finals taking place in January. Two draws is a poor return from games with Cape Verde and Kenya. In the continental finals in South Africa The Super Eagles finished as Champions with a record of 4 wins and 2 draws with no defeats.
MEXICO v NIGERIA
This should be a straight forward win for Mexico in a match against one of their Confederations Cup opponents. Mexico go into all these games with full motivation and concentration. Nigeria on the other hand tend not to perform in non competition matches and I fully expect a win for Mexico (1.91 Bet 365) With Mexico fully versed in each others play I expect Nigeria to have a handful of problems in Houston. A home from home for Mexico where they are so strong cheered on by so many ex-pats.

Sevilla 3.5 Valencia 2.16 draw 3.8
Sky didn’t fancy it, but we do.
Under Unai Emery 8/9 Sevilla home games have produced Over 2.5 Goals.
The Andalusians will finish in mid-table whatever happens, but their ex-Valencia coach should be keen for a good showing against his old club.
The important players – Kondogbia, Medel, Rakitic, Navas – are available and the hosts should at least ensure that both teams score.
We can go further: there have been four goals or more in five of Valencia’s last nine away matches.

Atletico v Sao Paulo
Sunday 22:30
Second match day from the Brazilian top flight and Betfair Live Video brings you two of the main title contenders going head to head. The action comes from Belo Horizonte as Atletico Miniero host Sao Paulo.
Atletico came through a tough Copa Libertadores quarter final on Thursday night with a last minute penalty save from Victor ensuring their progress on away goals, they have now been installed as strong favourites for the competition at 1.81.
Led by the enigmatic Ronaldinho, Atletico finished runners up last year after a thrilling campaign outscoring every other team in the league. This season didn’t start so well, the ‘Galo’ lost their first game but that was due partially to them missing a lot of their first team.
Although a little jaded from the win over Tijuana they should put out their best eleven on Sunday for the first home league match of the season. Expect to see Ronaldinho supporting Tardelli and Jo up front, without a win in four in all competitions it’s time for them to up their game.
The visitors won’t make that easy. Sao Paulo have showed real intent in their opening two league matches, winning both and scoring seven in the process. Luis Fabiano looked red hot last week as they cruised past Vasco, they currently sit top of the pile.
New signing Lucio, the ageless indomitable defender will start again but don’t expect to see the much-hyped Ganso, his injury problems seem never ending.
The last time these two met was a month ago in the Copa Libertadores, Atletico shone, winning both legs and netting four at home including a hatrick for Jo.
With so much fire power on show expect an entertaining contest, goals are guaranteed so it’ll be worth staying up for.

Already wrote my POV about the Portugal match yesterday and there are some inconsistencies in your report. Portugal´s key players are Tiago Ilori who is already a starter from Sporting main team and attracting interest from clubs like Valência and Liverpool. André Gomes also already playing in Benfica´s main team with appearances in the Champions league and Europa League. Edgar Ié and Agostinho Cá who came from Sporting´s Academy and were bought by Barcelona last year. João Mário and Ricardo Esgaio have played some minutes in Sporting´s main team but are still integral figures from the B team. Esgaio´s numbers are impressive but alot of the goals came from penalties. Portugal has a very strong defense and a good midfield, the problem is the it suffers from the same fate as Portugal´s main national team, it lacks a good goal scorer. Both Betinho (Sporting B) and Ivan Cavaleiro(Benfica B) have potential but they struggled a bit last year. I would bet on Portugal with caution since portuguese atitude at friendlies and non official tournaments is very slacking.
you sayin back Belgium then sly?
Portugal is the stronger team but dont know in which mood they are in and tend to start slowly plus their minds will b in the world cup. I would say goals better with btts or over. I am from portugal too.
No. I was just correcting Milesey in his report. Portugal´s main figures are the ones i wrote up. I don´t know anything about Belgium. If i was going to bet in this game i would agree with Milesey´s tip. But i´m going to stay clear of this game for the following reasons. First Portugal won´t go in strong because the Toulon tournament is a preparation for the U20 World Cup and the players won´t risk an injury. I´m portuguese and i have lost multiple times on betting in friendlies when our main team and younger ranks play in these games because the attitude is always slacking. Portugal´s forwards don´t impress me much. Belgium held his own against Brazil. I´m probably going to skip this match and only bet in our second game.
Look to Saturday Barca real Bayerrn to win 3.5/1
Good tipping once again Milesey. You have more faith in the Portugal team than me and i´m portuguese :p
“”I would bet on Portugal with caution since portuguese atitude at friendlies and non official tournaments is very slacking.””
It’s the TOULON TOURNAMENT, it wasn’t a friendly………..
The future of world football will be on display at the Toulon Tournament.
This annual event features some of the top national teams in the sport using rosters completely filled with players under the age of 20. The winner not only has bragging rights for now, but also instantly becomes a top contender for future international contests.
Mexico won the tournament last year and must be considered one of the favorites to take the title once again. Still, there are 10 squads attempting to win it all, and each will be giving their best effort to win one for their home country.

BAYERN MUNICH V STUTTGART
Already holders of the Bundesliga and Champions League trophies, Bayern Munich travels to the Olympia Stadion in Berlin to play Stuttgart in the DFB Pokal final. After a fantastic season so far this is the last game of coach Jupp Heynckes before Pep Guardiola takes over. Rumor has it Jupp is Real Madrid bound yet again. He already won the Champions League with Real, and has proven himself yet again with Bayern Munich this season. Anyways, for this clash Bayern Munich will miss the impressive Brazillian duo Dante and Luiz Gustavo. Dante has been super solid in the Bavarian defense. Luiz Gustavo has been on the fringes of the first eleven, but impressed whenever he has had the chance. Badstuber and Kroos are still injured.
Stuttgart comes into this clash with a die hard, nothing to lose attitude. After finishing 12th in the league I am sure Labbadia will want to show his fans there is more to this Stuttgart side than that. The said coach should be able to select from a close to fit squad, and there are no suspensions either.
Bayern Munich won both home and away (6-1 and 2-0) against Stuttgart this season, and that shows what the underdogs of Stuttgart are up against. If they are to have any chance they have to play a perfect game defensively, and I suspect they have to catch Bayern off guard, either by Bayern underestimating them or by scoring a goal or two early. Obviously, that can happen, but the chances are slim.
BAYERN MUNICH V STUTTGART BETTING TIPS
I doubt Bayern Munich will take it easy here even with two major trophies won. They have shown a ruthless side all season, and that will to win isn’t created with ease, neither does it die easily. Jupp Heynckess will be sure to work on his players to ensure full focus. Missing Dante is of course a setback, but Bayern got good squad players. I doubt it will affect the side too much. Winning 8-1 over two Bundesliga games against Stuttgart sets the presedence for what’s to come in Berlin.
My betting tips is Bayern Munich -2 at 1.95 with BET365
