Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve into Germany’s second tier in a fixture that looks good for goals. Then in Norway the Champions look good for another three points at in what should be a comfortable win.
Paderborn vs Schalke
🇩🇪 Bundesliga 2.
⏰ Sunday 12th September, 12:30
Paderborn host Schalke at the Benteler-Arena at Sunday lunch time. The hosts come into this in second position, meanwhile the visitors currently sit in 9th.
Paderborn come into this in fine form winning three games on the bounce. After a 0-0 draw with Heidenheim, Paderborn’s four league games have went over 2.5 goals with them scoring 12 and conceding four. Paderborn’s last ten games at home in Bundesliga 2. have all went over 2.5 goals. Paderborn have scored in 18 of their last 19 home games in the league scoring 37 times. They’ve only kept 4 clean sheets in their last 19 home games conceding 29 goals.
Last time out Schalke grabbed their second win of the season by defeating Fortuna Düsseldorf 3-1. Schalke have scored in all five league games so far this season scoring nine times. They’ve only managed to keep one clean though, conceding eight goals already this campaign. Four of Schalke’s five matches in Bundesliga 2. this season have went over 2.5 goals.
Bodø/Glimt vs Odd
🇳🇴 Eliteserien
⏰ Sunday 12th September, 17:00
Champions Bodø/Glimt host Odd at the Aspmyra Stadion on Sunday. The hosts currently sit top of the table and a point above Molde. The visitors Odd currently lie in 10th position and a massive nine points off the European places.
Bodø/Glimt made it three wins on the bounce last time away to Tromsø to leapfrog Molde at the top. That’s now back to back away wins for the champions but it’s their home record that’s impressive. Glimt have only lost one of their last 24 at home which came against Molde, winning 21. Remarkably, Glimt have scored 2+ in all 21 of those victories on home turf.
Odd come into this on a poor run of form, losing four of their last five games. Odd’s away form has been horrendous recently losing their last three 13-0 on aggregate. That takes their tally to five defeats from nine on the road with seven of the eight points gained coming against the bottom three sides. Odd are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels conceding 21 times.
Bet of the Day
Both Paderborn and Schalke have been in fine goalscoring form this season and that should continue on Sunday afternoon. Both sides are capable of getting on the scoresheet which should mean we should see a minimum of three goals. Bodø/Glimt will look to stay top of the league and should do so against Odd. The champions are strong at home and score plenty of goals. The visitors Odd have struggled badly on their travels and I’m expecting Glimt to record a comfortable victory.
