NATIVE SILVER (1.50) looks a bit of value at around 5-1 in the one-mile handicap at Southwell.
The five-year-old has had the misfortune to finish runner-up four times here since late October and was slightly disappointing when fourth to Daafr when quite well fancied 17 days ago.
This is a slightly easier contest, with course specialist Straitouttacompton up 6lb for beating Hotspur Harry.

MASTER BURBIDGE (3.10) shouldn't be far away in the 1m 4f selling handicap. Neil Mulholland's veteran chased home Bill Cody here over two miles last January off a 3lb higher perch and although this trip is on the sharp side, the opposition is very ordinary.
Front-running Ruby Red Empress was only nabbed close home by Beauty Stone at Kempton 11 days ago and wears cheekpieces for the first time. The filly is clearly the one to beat if she handles the Fibresand surface.

This game can be so hard to work out at times. You would think a horse that was 14/1 into 9/2, you might at least get a run for your money, but All About Joe ran like a drain and never got into the race. Maybe those breathing problems are still there.
Anyway, no bets today but I’ll be watching Uhtred (2.00) to see how he gets on. Hasn’t run since he was a 4yr old, but won a listed bumper with the likes of Pencilfulloflead and Dewcup well beaten. If he’s over his issues could be a dark horse for the Supreme.

Maybe some will pop their heads in for Cheltenham and then carry on posting.
The racing is terrible just now any serious gambler/punter doesn’t bet every day especially on the rubbish lately with so much being off.
The page has turned into a bit of a farse with foke betting on practically every race like there chasing there money sitting in a bookies. Picking horses just because of its number ? Picking out the 3 or 4 shortest priced favs in America and putting up as tips most nights ?
Thank god for AlanT real tips with a reasoning behind them but even he cant win all the time but has to tip every day.

i was late to the racing game and as such don’t really have a strong connection with it, i am more into the money than the actual sport and as such there’s not enough enjoyment in it for me, i dont care about winning or betting small amounts , i dont care to be smart and slowly build money and wait for the good spots which come thick and fast enough throughout the space of a week, i want big four figure wins, so the stress in this crooked game isn’t really worth my time, granted it’s my strategy which causes it all, but since i dont want the alternative, there’s no point investing time or money. came back to this site 2 days ago, stuck 70 on DCs word yday lol… used this site for a long time, staying away and focusing on your own work is really the only way i can win, if not i will chuck money at the word of others time and time again and you might as well burn it.
Elvis I used to just follow on her for a long time and never post as there were some good people on here and it was a cracking site for info .Lot of the good guys left so tried posting myself and I am as average as the next guy so stopped posting.
But the site WAS about proper tips and info and there are still some guys doing this .But its become just daft in my opinion and obviously in a lot of others opinion as well why they leave .
Guys now pick ing anything betting on every race these are not tips its just become a less serious thread and that not what a lot of the proper horse followers want.
Each to their own even betting on every race if thats there thing but not putting them all on a tipping thread.

It’s full of people who are completely clueless when it comes to the sport putting up nothing but favs (including odds on) !!! FFS or numbers.
There are some like yourself, insider and others who will at least put up some reasoning if backing a horse.
The big thing for me though is, there was an Anti-Post thread for Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago and a total of 3 comments put up on it.
The biggest NH festival of the year and 3 comments !!!!
That would never have happened in the past and that’s the big difference for me.
Surely anyone with an interest in the sport has some horses on their radar for Cheltenham and would like a discussion on it?

just better off ignoring it Deb, of course his number system is completely crazy but he’s enjoying it. lucky he makes it obvious he is just guessing but it is annoying if he is costing people money, because i’ve seen him post his stake before and it was 20 pence.. so not for us to say dont post but definitely should be ignored in terms of ‘tips’
