Most people expected Jurgen Klopp to go for it and seal an early passage to the knockout stages but it looks as if he's more focused on Brighton on Saturday.
He still started Mo Salah and Sadio Mane though and the Reds should have done better.

Neither side come into this in great form and both managers are under severe pressure, Sparta have lost 4/5 and Celtic have 2 wins in 8. The reverse fixture saw Celtic put in their worst performance in years and Sparta were superb but I don’t think we’ll see a rerun, games that are played in a short space of time don’t tend to see repeats. The fact that this is away should also suit Celtic, they’ve only lost 1 of their last 11 or 12 away European games and that was a dead rubber against cluj when they played the reserves as they had already qualified and it’s the only away defeat in more than a calendar year, the last 6 losses have all been at home. No. Teams will go for a win so they qualify ASAP especially with the fixtures this year. Plus the chances of those 3 qualifying with a draw is slim in Leicester’s case and not possible in rangers and Milan’s cases.

Terry it was disappointing we let a two goal lead a slip but it could be worse we could have been beating 4-1 home and away by a pub team, have the worse defensive record in the Europa league and be out of Europe with two games left. But I can see your point
I would need to agree with you nb89. I was disappointed Benfica didn’t win. I thought they would win as I believe they are by far the better team but they were without 7 players tonight so a draw was probably about right, albeit a disappointing result for rangers.
The Celtic result was disappointing but personally I was happy with it as I wanted us out of Europe to concentrate on the league. I am sure you are aware we haven’t been performing to our usual standards. Injuries, covid and key players have all contributed to poor results. The timing was also bad as it coincided with a tough set of fixtures so the sooner we get back to domestic duties the better.
Another thing nb89… Sparta are not quite a pub team as you say. For your information they are currently second in the Czech Republic. You really need to brush up on your football knowledge. When I think of a pub team I think of Progres Niederkorn 😂😜
