IT was another good Saturday for me last week with El Presente winning nicely (10-1) and both Kitty’s Light (18-1) and Perfect Myth (14-1) finishing in the places.
After Scotland secured qualification I’m hoping to continue the feel good factor this weekend with another couple of winners at big prices. It’s the November meeting at Cheltenham and there is plenty of top quality jumps action. Have a listen to the Gambla Racing Podcast where we have a chat about the chances of my selections:

This race will once again be sponsored by Paddy Power after a 5 year gap where Bet Victor took up the cudgels. It strikes me as a good race to sponsor because we all refer to it using the bookies name and it became well known as the Paddy Power Gold Cup in recent times. This year I’m hoping that the horse who will be wearing that Paddy Power winners rug at the end is SKY PIRATE for Jonjo O’Neill. The horse can be a bit of a rogue and certainly doesn’t win quite as much as he should but I think this big field chase will suit him after a frustrating race last time out when he finished 2nd. He’s a horse who looks to me like he still has potential for improvement and he lines up in this with bottom weight at a big each way price.

There’s not much we don’t know about the 11 year old DELL ‘ARCA at this stage but he looked better than ever last week with a cracking win. We know that he is in good form and is fit and well and it seems to me that his connections will look to make hay while the sun shines in the twilight of his jumping career. He looks a solid each way proposition to me at the prices.
Well done with Sky Pirate. Looks to be one to watch, unlucky when hitting the last.
Thanks mate. He was cruising coming round the bend. Traded odds on on the exchange too! Oh well, take the each way money and we go again ?
