TIGERTEN (4.50) is a standout bet on Hamilton’s excellent Thursday card.
Joe Tuite has no hesitation in stripping Tigerten quickly after the three-year-old spread-eagled his rivals to score by more than seven lengths at Catterick nine days ago. A 6lb penalty won’t anchor Tigerten if he’s in the same mood.
WAR DEFENDER (4.15) could be worth chancing against the William Haggas-trained raider Reemannie. War Defender ploughed a lone furrow up the far rail at Redcar when a close third to Marco Botti’s Silver Samurai and the Richard Hannon-trained Count Of Amazonia. He ran on well into second at Newcastle behind Roger Varian’s Canagat last month and that level of consistency bodes well if able to act on these softer underfoot conditions.
Reemannie’s Windsor fourth to the John Gosden-trained Sun Bear was full of promise, with runner-up Grande Rumore scoring next time. Kevin Ryan’s Kingman colt Throne Hall had one run last season, finishing a creditable third to Sir Michael Stoute’s Atheeb at Haydock, and is well worth a market check. Golden Sandbanks wasn’t disgraced behind Roger Charlton’s Loughanini at Haydock (soft) and should go well in an intriguing 1m 1f maiden.
CREDIBLE (2.40) let down her odds-on backers when well held by Blackberry at Doncaster. The winner looked useful and Credible can make full use of her 5lb sex allowance in this 6f maiden. Kats Bob showed promise on debut at Ayr, while Phillip Makin unveils the well-bred Captain Vallo.
BAL MAL (6.30) is fancied to resume winning ways after being swept off his feet by Chris Mason’s pin-up girl Glamorous Anna at Goodwood. Main threat Star Prize beat Royal Appointment in a Novice Stakes over course and distance in July, with today’s rider Faye McManoman winning rave revues for her daring run up the far rail.

Anyone land a 300-1 winner today? Coral say they took 26 bets on He Knows No Fear this afternoon in the 2.30 at Leopardstown – the longest-priced winner in the history of UK and Irish racing at 300-1.
In total £34.50 was staked on the horse with the firm, with the biggest bet being a £2.50 each-way single.
Only wish that it was my £2.50ew mate. Brilliant!
Unfortunately not me though!

Wow 300-1! The wonderful thing about sport is how it never stops surprising you and is never not mega exciting.

12-1 bet365 ew extra 4 places 1/4 odds.
Basically doubles my stake if it comes in the 1st 4.
More if it wins which is most unlikely.
Good call
Followed your advice
Nice one dot, came 3rd 14-1.
Must have been backed a bit late on.
Was 20-1 when I posted.
