ON an extremely low-grade Monday card at Ayr, NODDYOLDER (2.20) catches the eye dropped into handicap company by Tim Easterby.
The well-named son of Slade Power was noted making late headway into fifth over behind Chairmanic over six furlongs at Haydock. That was a much stronger contest and it would be no surprise to see Noddyolder attracting market support over this extra furlong. Ventura Rascal ran well enough at Doncaster when third to La Trinidad to merit consideration.
The top-rated horse in the Classified Stakes has an official mark of 50 which tells everything you need to know about the standard of this mile event. ROYAL COUNTESS (2.50) ran right away with a 1m 2f handicap here last Monday and she will take a deal of beating if handling the drop in trip and quicker ground. She was having her first run for Mike Smith, who has also declared Flying Moon, a gutsy winner at Hamilton yesterday.
Travel Lightly recovered from a poor break to score at Thirsk last week and has to be on the shortlist.
PENMELLYN (3.20) takes on less challenging opponents on the back of his fourth to easy winner Dawaaween at Hamilton and the assessor has dropped him 2lbs. Likely favourite is Sir Mark Prescott’s Le Reveur, penalised for a Chepstow success three days ago. He was under the pump at halfway and going nowhere before responding so well that he drew clear through the final furlong. The visor may have helped but his style of racing isn’t good for the nerves.
The concluding event is the seventh Class 6 handicap on the card, this time over 1m 5f. Mick Appleby’s Strict, blinkered first time, was narrowly denied at Thirsk last week and that probably puts down a very modest marker. LIZZIE LOCH (3.50) attracted support at Musselburgh and that confidence wasn’t misplaced as she ran a brave race in defeat.

I backed Night on Earth 12.25 W on the basis that Charlton’s horses flatter to deceive at the prices. Got great SP of 11/4 which covers my e/w L31.
BV prices
1.35 W Belated Breath NAP backed into 15/2 but still overpriced
2.10 W Gallipoli 5/1 Fahey starting to get winners
2.20 A Noddyolder 7/2 unexposed, trainer in form, won’t take much winning
4.10 W Hollywood Road 18/1
8.45 K Magicinthemaking 15/2
Going to follow favs at Ayr until they stop winning lol
Lol…Hey it happens Crawmeister some days it’s favouites all day bar 1 or 2 do.
GL with it hope ye has first 2 and Alan T has a couple
3/3 favs at Ayr (I only backed the third one) but the next 2 Great Colaci and Noddyolder have great chances at good odds.
Sorry Star of Emaraaty lost favouritism at the off but was always favourite before SP.
Unusual to see a Johnston runner headed at the finish but it was its first run and the winner has run at Royal Ascot.
Ye must b having a grand day Crawmeister?
Profit wise anyway!? Good thinking as I say it happens ??
Thank you, recoba!!

Where you on ?
16-1 sp when I posted, went off at 7-1 ?
Hell yeah I was on . I was all cosy at home then saw your post and knew I would kick myself if it came in so marched up the betting shop at took the punt glad I did as I also did atomic jack whilst I was up there which I got 12s for and landed a couple of stateside bets whilst waiting for the off on the uk ones so was a very good night in the end especially for a Monday so cheers for that !
I got it at 12s so can’t grumble
??
I also noticed romihemsem put it up also which tipped me over the edge To go and do it haha . It hurts more when you don’t jump on for me personally than taking a punt on big odd that in the back of your mind your prepared for the loss anyway
