BOURNEMOUTH look to be entering last chance saloon territory at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday night when they lock horns with Leicester City.
The Cherries, following last-gasp VAR heartbreak at home to Tottenham on Thursday evening, are in huge trouble and are hurtling towards relegation.
The south coast side have been put to the sword in seven of their last nine top-flight tussles, however, Eddie Howe (below) and Co will take some confidence from what was a solid and spirited showing against Spurs in midweek.
Leicester, meanwhile, gave their quest for continental football next term a much-needed shot in the arm when comfortably overcoming Crystal Palace last weekend.
Brendan Rodgers' men followed up last Saturday's success by battling back to draw 1-1 against 10-man Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
Having said that, Leicester have been leapfrogged by Chelsea in the the Premier League standings, however, the Foxes will view this fixture as a huge opportunity to tighten their grip on a top-four berth.
Outright Betting
Bournemouth are big outsiders at 17/4 with Bet 365 while a share of the spoils is also deemed unlikely at 3/1 with SportingBet.
Leicester, despite registering just one win from their last 8 away matches across all competitions, are odds-on favourites at 4/6 with Bet 365 to leave the Vitality victorious.
Betting Angles
Bournemouth can consider themselves unfortunate not to have taken all three points against Tottenham last time out, however, I suspect their bid for survival will face a much-more stern examination on Sunday evening.
A toothless Tottenham team failed to chalk up a single shot on target against the Cherries on Thursday evening but a repeat in this fixture is almost unthinkable given that the Foxes will be a lot more adventurous in attack.
It's also worth noting that eight of Bournemouth's last 11 Premier League games have produced over 2.5 goals and a repeat this weekend is an eye-catching 10/11 with Betfred.
Indeed, the above-mentioned price takes appeal, however, I'm going to take a slightly different approach by backing Leicester to score two or more goals at 4/5 with BetVictor.
Bournemouth have conceded two or more goals in seven of their last nine league games and I suspect the hosts will be hard-tasked when trying to shutout a Foxes side who appear to have restored some confidence.
What's more, I'm also mindful of the fact that Leicester have been afforded an extra two days rest ahead of this meeting with the Cherries who are faced with a quick turnaround following a bruising and energy-sapping battle with Spurs on Thursday evening.
Whether or not Brendan Rodgers men can make the net bulge twice remains to be seen, however, I do fancy the Foxes to edge this encounter given their superior quality coupled with the fact that they have a daunting looking final three fixtures to follow.
Backing an outright Leicester success looks a bit short at 4/6 (Bet 365) but given the Cherries high card count this season I'm going to add at least one Bournemouth booking to boost the price up to a much-more enticing Even-Money with Bet 365.
