YOU OWE ME (5.30) faces only three rivals in the 1m 3f handicap at Yarmouth but should still go off at fair odds.
Mark Johnston’s three-year-olds are always worth noting when stepped up in distance and You Owe Me had Monday’s Haydock winner Win O’Clock back in fourth when filling third place at Kempton last December. With Ralph Beckett kicking in plenty of winner, top weight Jellystone will be popular but needs to concede 6lb to my selection.
GUVENOR’S CHOICE (8.30) is a better horse on the all-weather but is so well handicapped on turf that he is worth a bet. The grey was having his first run for Grant Tuer since leaving Marjorie Fife when a fine second at Wolverhampton in March and is 11lb lower on the grass. The five-year-old wouldn’t want the ground to ease.
AWESOMEDUDE (4.50) is an interesting contender in a modest 1m 4f handicap at Beverley. The gelding is having his first run for James Ferguson and John Egan is a good booking. The track took a soaking yesterday and conditions should not inconvenience Awesomedude, not disgraced when the mud was flying at Yarmouth.
At Newbury, AWEEMAWEH (2.40) seems fairly treated as he is facing a 2lb rise from next week. Mick Channon’s colt came from a long way back to score at Wolverhampton in March and the form received a significant boost when runner-up Meraas spanked evens favourite Cold Front by three lengths at Kempton last week. The third horse at Wolverhampton also won next time, so Aweemaweh is an attractive each-way bet in this open six-furlong handicap.

Makes h’cap debut dropping down in trip having run over 12f + on his 3 previous starts.
Sire won the Lennox stakes over 7f so the drop in trip should be ideal.
Shamie Heffernan booked, could be a h’cap plot by a certain Willie Mullins.
