FIRSTLY, I hope wherever you are in the world you are well, safe and coping with the huge changes we have all been faced with over last few weeks.
As we know, sport and football has taken a back seat but Monday morning sees action from one of the few leagues who are still in action as Newcastle Jets host Melbourne City in the Australian A-League.
It's a strong shout for goals aand with both sides in good form we should see both teams contributing.
We touched on this during this week;s Gambla Betting Podcast – give it a listen.
Newcastle Jets vs Melbourne City (KO 8.30am)
Second-placed Melbourne are in good shape and come into this having picked up 13 points from their last 6 matches. They travel to Newcastle fresh from hammering Central Coast Mariners 4-2 on Friday, a match in which striker Jamie Maclaren grabbed his 16th, 17th and 18th goals of the season.
Been no shortage of goals on their travels this season with 8 of their last 10 going over 2.5 goals ( 7 of those games saw at least 4 goals) but worryingly they conceded at least 2 goals in 7 of those games.
Newcastle had been in terrific form prior to Friday's narrow loss away at Brisbane Roar and both sides have seen 18 goals scored in their last 6 matches, this should be an open game with the both sides getting on the score sheet.
Neither side keep many clean sheets and what I do like is the H2H between the two sides – 16 of the last 18 meetings have seen at least 3 goals with 8 of those games seeing 4+ goals scored.
There may be 19 points and 7 places separating these two but Newcastle can definitely cause City problems and that will bode well for goals as I can't see either side keeping a clean sheet.
Recommended bet:
- Over 3.0 goals (Asian Goal-line)
- 19/20 (bet365) (NAP)
