CHOOKIE DUNEDIN (7.45) has been placed brilliantly by Keith Dalgleish to record four wins from his last five starts and the top weight can continue his winning ways at Kempton.
Wolverhampton is the gelding's favourite hunting ground, so the Kempton circuit is an unknown. Apprentice Ben Sanderson gave Chookie Dunedin a textbook ride last time, overcoming the outside ‘coffin box' over the turning seven furlongs. He is much better drawn in stall one this evening and a 3lb rise isn't harsh.
Dalgleish also sends his other prolific all-weather scorer, HOME BEFORE DUSK (5.15), on the long journey south and there is no track worry with this fellow. He overcame a sloppy break to power clear over a mile here a fortnight ago but is now asked to go an extra two furlongs off a 5lb higher mark. It's a tough ask, especially with Lucky's Dream chasing a four-timer, Star of Bengal making his reappearance and Felix bidding to get back on track after inexplicably flopping at Wolverhampton. That trio will help make the market.
With Aidan O'Brien represented elsewhere on the card and the likes of Ryan Moore, Frankie Dettori and Silvestre De Sousa locking horns, this is an above-average midweek all-weather card. Dettori teams up with John Gosden to ride CEMHAAN (6.45) in the one-mile novice stakes. The colt chased home Yes My Boy 22 days ago and can go one better from stall one.
At Lingfield, RENARDEAU (3.00) can confirm superiority over Given Glances in the 1m 4f handicap. Ali Stronge's four-year-old had Given Glances more than four lengths back in third when a close second to Battle Of Marathon over course and distance and is only 3lb worse off.

Course winner on debut, upped 1f, claimer means he is only up 2lbs but will racing 3lbs lighter. Two immediately behind last time were coming off wins. Crimson King been going close but had enough chances. If Herm continues to drift he may be ew extra material (4/5 places).
300L LEXINGTON LAW win 6/1 0.5pt, top 2 7/4 0.5pt
alan’s pick RENARDEAU should definitely be going close, doesnt look like it has much to beat for a horse in such good form, i also like the jockey/trainer combo. however the horse failed over this CD (albeit was 2nd) LTO when 5lbs lighter.. an upgrade in the saddle may help but i will gladly lay, LL out of sorts but dropped back to C4 and races off 75, he has won over CD 12lbs higher.. top 2 only is a substantial risk though
top 2 drifted to 9/4
guess it wasnt the plan to win, had 4 or 5 off the bridle turning in and faded, imagine he isnt too far away ;/
