The four-year-old has been a slow burner but mopped up his first three starts, including on handicap debut here over six furlongs. He has been raised 3lb and is asked to travel an extra furlong, but seems up to the task.

I must admit racing is ‘PRETTY DIRE’ again today, 3 days running nothing of value, small trappy fields and loads of odds-on / short priced JOLLY’S going in. Read in the Racing Post Monday ‘standard’ of RACING in the week/mid-week is falling rapidly, affecting the Betting Industry ‘big style’. Low attendances, small fields/prize money all contributing factors to the rapid decline.
Ludlow is always a Cracking Venue to attend, today’s card is DIRE. To many small fields/prize money very low, and to many short prized JOLLY’S. Can not see the point of tipping/backing short prized FAVES for the sake having a bet. Keeps me money for a cracking w/end away at Warwick me thinks. More value, bigger fields and different class of racing.
