LAST SURPRISE (6.55) can defy top weight in the nursery at Wolverhampton this evening.

Simon Crisford's filly will find this a tad easier than her last assignment when a fine third to Mark Johnston's Huboor at Newmarket. Megan Nicholls takes off 3lb and stall four is ideal. With Redcar abandoned there isn't much to get excited about elsewhere on the eve of Champions' Day tomorrow.

Mixed bag yesterday, many selection went of as FAPs but disappointed, ended up basically even for the day with the prices of the winners and a few ew selections placing but not the best day!

  James Tate has one going in this, only 7/1 but he is on for a 3-way across the card treble.
  
  Doyle/Watson standout combo of the season, massive price as you say, probably worth some pocket change.
  
  Not actually looked in depth but Leodis Dream won me over 2k a few months back (on turf) so will chance him too.
  
  12/1 is a big price for Colin Keane (which I suppose is ominous), but he has 2 winners tonight and he rode him LTO over CD, close up 2nd and 3rd re-oppose on better terms.

  I talked myself out of going ew at 33-1 when I posted after reading about 2yo records in this race.
  His 2yo form probably didn’t justify a win bet, but dascombe wouldn’t send him over if he didn’t think he could compete with older horses and get at least place money.

Been waiting for a horse called pacify to re emerge after a winning 4 hurdles on the bounce over the summer.
For me this former useful flat horse has been the best novice hurdler I’ve seen in the summer months for a while.
He is entered in the 3-20 Kempton on Sunday, a listed race.
Only 6 entered and this a big jump in class and was hoping for decent odds.
