Today sees the flat turf season kicking into gear so we need to switch our mindset into flat mode but don’t forget about the Grand National next weekend. I’ll be back with full coverage for that three day festival including the big race itself.
In the meantime though I have picked out one at a nice price for today’s big handicaps at Doncaster.
3.35pm Doncaster
The Lincoln is the first big handicap of the season and like last year when Addeybb won we have a relatively short priced favourite given the fact that there are 22 runners. Auxerre does look like a decent horse but I can’t be having him at this price and there is value to be found elsewhere.
The one that I like at a bonkers price is AQUARIUM for Mark Johnston with Franny Norton in the saddle. He won off a mark of 100 in October and has no problem with the trip or the ground. He had a nice seasonal debut last time and should improve for that today and I think his price is very tempting.
