IT was a super Saturday on the racing thread with plenty winners so well done all who bashed the bookies.

Alan landed three winners and is eyeing more profit with two picks for Sunday.

Newcastle 2.30

ELYSEES PALACE returns from a long break but Sir Mark Prescott will have him straight enough to add to his course and distance success from Rainbow Rebel last May. A 3lb rise is fair and all four of his career starts have come on the all-weather.

Newcastle 3.30

CALL OUT LOUD ran well enough when fifth to Saint Equiano at Southwell last week to merit an interest now dropped slightly in class.

    Isharah 13/2 ew 1.00 new

Comes over from Ireland but is a previous C&D winner when with Mark Johnston. That was off a mark of 82 and runs today off 57 with the excellent Oisin Oor taking a further 3lbs off.
Money has come for this one so hopefully a good run is expected.

    Sam’s Profile 22/1 ew 1/4 odds 1.50 naas

Taking a chance on this one but has some decent form in the book.
Beaten 4L by Derrinross in a Grade 3 over 3m . The winner franked the form by following up in a Grade 2.
SP has only had the 3 runs under rules so there is surely room for more improvement and the drop back to 20f today looks like it will be ideal.
The 2 at the top of the market could be a bit better than the rest but imo have something to prove.

Arvicia bleu 2-20 naas 11-4 NAP.

Beat market rival punches cross by almost 40 lengths 3 runs ago on level terms.

12 pound swing now for punches makes it tougher though.
