IT'S a big night in the Champions League with Man City and Man United among those in action.
I've posted a separate preview as well as posts on Lyon v Man City and Man Utd v Young Boys. There are posts of most of tonight's other games up from various contributors so cheers to everyone who has stepped up to the plate.
Leicester face Southampton in the EFL Cup and there is six Championship matches as well as full cards in League One and League Two so plenty to look at.
It's a week for the RFO and I've be studying stats and form before putting up tips.
My Champions League tips are reasoned on the post and I'm going with Man City, Juventus and Roma not to lose as a treble.
The Super Single is Norwich who have been fantastic in recent weeks. They hammered Swansea 4-1 away at the weekend to make it 12 goals in three games – they also hit four against Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday. Can make it four wins in a row at a Hull side who went down tamely at home to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
I've studying goals and have picked out a League One treble and remember to check out Desmond's midweek goals bets.
My focus has been on the Champions League so haven't had too much time for England but as well as Norwich teams I like are Leeds, Luton and Bury. Three games in Scotland but nothing much stands out except maybe both to score in the Scottish Cup replay between Peterhead and Morton.
Last night there was a lack of goals unless you were on Greg's Belgian and Dutch reserve picks so well done to him and anyone else who put up tips.

I’m travelling back to 🇮🇹 Seria C Group C and a match that sees a familiar name involved, Catania travel to a lowly Matera side. Just 5yrs ago Catania were finishing 8th and above Inter in Seria A and just missed out on Europa League qualification, the following season they were relegated but that was the least of their problems. The following summer they were subsequently found guilty of match fixing 5 games in the 14/15 Seria B season in a bid to avoid relegation which they did by winning 4 & drawing 1 of the 5 fixed games. However they were relegated and lost a lot of players. Struggled first season in Seria C but last year missed out last season on promotion in the play off semi finals on penalties while Matera were avoiding relegation in the other play offs. Matera have had their own problems too having folded twice in their 88yr history, the most recent of those resulted in a new club being formed 6yrs ago.

The home side sit 3rd from bottom on 3 points, however they have an 8pt deduction but even then that would only lift them 1 place in the table. They’ve won 3/11, drawing 2 & losing 6. However those 3 wins came against teams in the bottom 7 which coincides with 2/3 clean sheets they’ve mustered in 11 games. Today’s opponents are far better quality.
Catania sit 4th after 11 games having won 6,drawn 3 & losing 2. On the road they’ve won 2,drawn 3 & lost 1. However 5/6 aways have been against sides in the top half of the league as it sits. The one bottom side they’ve faced is Paganese whom they beat 4-2. They’ve also beaten 2 of the top 3(Trapani & Rende) and drawn away at Juve Stabia the league leaders. Catania will be desperate for the points too stay on the coat tails of these 3 teams who occupy the promotion spots.
Main bet will be Catania to score 2+ at 11/8. Matera have scored in all 5 homes & Catania have conceded in 4/6 aways so O2.5gls in a Catania WIN pays 3/1 or 4/1 for Catania & BTTS

MIDDLESBROUGH (2nd in the league) travel to Deepdale to take on 16th place Preston.
Preston had a awful start to the season, only winning one game out of the first ten but since then Alex Neil’s side have won four and drawn four of the next eight which has taken them out of the relegation zone. They have been the most entertaining side recently scoring four goals in three of the last four home games and at home there games are averaging over four goals.
However, they face the best defence in the Championship in a Middlesbrough side that has only conceded nine goals in 18 outings. The only time they have concede more than one goal away from home was only the opening game of the season at Millwall (2-2).
Middlesbrough travelled to Preston in the EFL Cup 3rd Round and Preston led on two occasions before drawing 2-2 and finally going out on penalties 4-3. The Middlesbrough side that night included fringe players and academy players and will field a totally different side for the league game.
Tony Pulis will accept a same performance as they did on Friday night when winning at Brentford 2-1 when they showed good old North East grit.
I again expect another close game with Preston on the front foot from the start and Middlesbrough soaking up the pressure while trying to hit them on the break with the line being led by local lad Jordan Hugill.
On the head-to-head front it favours the visitors with seven wins and five draws out of the last 12. So Preston are up against it but are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment.

The Canaries are absolutely flying at the moment and come into this off the back of 6 consecutive wins which has propelled them to the top of the Championship
They’ve scored 4 goals in each of their last 3 matches against some pretty useful opposition and it’s easy to see why they will be strongly fancied tonight.
Finnish striker Puki has 8 goals in his last 9 and will be Norwich’s main threat as they travel up the coast to play a Hull side who are having a disaster season so far
They have been poor home and away but this is the championship on a Tuesday night. You often get strange results midweek in the English leagues and whilst I don’t see then winning this they are at home and are more than capable of scoring, escpecially given Norwich have conceded in 17 of their last 20 away matches in all competitions.

Its absolutely terrible weather here in Derbyshire and I can’t see it being a good game. We love a 1-1 away (6 in a row) but we occasionally throw in a 0-0 at home (we drew 0-0 with Dover and havant at home who are also near the bottom of the table)
Bromley to be fair dont have much drawing form (3 2-2s this season) so I’m not as confident as Saturday but given our run its still worth a smaller stake. They’ve scored and conceeded generally with 30 for and 36 against in 21. Given this lets assume the 1-1 is more likely than the 0-0

@scampi it’s worth checking the bookies for Chesterfield’s upcoming fixtures,with it being Christmas there might be two or 3 fixtures listed,if there is then a massive treble might be a good bet.Always thinking ar kid.
At the moment its entirely possible we could keep drawing! I’m not 100% sure if you can combine bets on the same team but if you could it would have a chance for a relatively small stake
Only problem we might have is that theres a lot of fan discontent around and maybe Martin Allen is running out of time (I’d say its his cautious approach that makes draws likely). Then again I think we are 13 unbeaten now, just 19 without a win in the league though!
