THE OPEN beat the Betfred Cup hands down for excitement yesterday and today I'll be glued to the action from Carnoustie.
Motherwell beat my Betfred Cup treble and my golf bet was a single winner thanks to Tiger Woods.
It was great to see Woods briefly hit top spot before finishing the day four back.
There should be a thrilling finish to The Open but I can't see past the top four for the winner unless the wind blows hard.
Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele and Kevin Kisner are tied at the top, two clear of Kevin Chappell.
Woods, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Zach Johnson are among those four back but it's asking a lot for any of them to finish above all the leaders.
Ace posted one winner and one loser yesterday and has put up a final-day tip later. Hopefully one of his anteposts will provide at least an each-way return with Alex Noren and Fleetwood tied sixth.
Defending champion Spieth is likely to be the one to beat and is a best 2-1 at bet365 with Schauffele 11-2 at Marathonbet and Kisner 11-2 with McBookie.
McIlroy is 16-1 at Betfred, Woods 18-1 at Paddy Power and Fleetwood 22-1 with sportingbet.
There are a couple of Betfred Cup games today – Dundee v Dunfermline and East Fife v Forfar – but I'm leaving them out and concentrating on the golf and my two ball double is from the final two groups.
I'm taking Spieth to beat Schauffele as he tries hard to defend his title and I'm adding Kisner who has been solid all week against Chappell who is two shots adrift. Any tie is voided – you can take that option or have a bigger price with the tie included.
Well done to all yesterday's winners and good luck on Sunday.
Remember to check out welovebetting for latest tips and video chat.

Could you help me with something guys-been a regular viewer for years but never posted. I backed yesterday s two ball golf double but whilst Mr F’s was a single winner mine was a loser. I had a look on the Betway website and as they were quoting odds on the two balls being tied didn’t bet there. I eventually put the bet on with Betfair who also quoted odds on the tie but I was running out of patience by this point. Anyway my double is down because finau/Lombard tied. Am I doing something wrong here? I assumed in a two ball if it was tied your bet was down, unless you backed the tie? I’ve had this problem before and just assumed I had made a schoolboy error. Now it’s happened again (schoolboy error or not) it’s really getting on my goat. Should the finau/Lombard result be classed as void? Cheers in advance
With two ball betting you can choose to make the tie void or have the tie in play for better odds.
Firms who do this include McBookie and William Hill in shops – check the machines for two balls and two balls, draw no bet.
I always have the tie voided. I’ll make it clear to take that option with today’s tip.
Finua v Lombard is void unless your bet showed a price for the tie.
I was on 2 points EW (4pt total each) on Fleetwood and Noren (8 places).
Looks tight but with the wind forecast to come in to play I think Fleetwood can shoot a low score.
I don’t know too much about Noren in the wind but he has done well so far so another decent round for both should see a decent profit overall.
Speight does look the one to beat but I’m hoping the top 3 struggle, bringing the next lot in to play.
Betting aside, I would like to see Woods or Mcilroy win it.
It’s set to be an exciting round and wont be surprised to see a 4 man playoff.
+8 units last night. Shame the Giants lost by 1 run, but the Astros and Indians won by 7 and 13 runs respectively.
July totals:
MLB profit:+29.7 units
Total profit: + 84.0 units

UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA VS. DEPORTES IQUIQUE (2230 KO):
Plenty of history between these two and they have met 8 times in the last 3 and a half years; in 7 of those 8 matches, Catolica have scored a brace with 100% of their home H2H’s seeing the same in that spell!
It’s a decent looking price for the hosts to do the same again tonight and worth noting that Iquique have conceded 8 goals across their last 3 away fixtures:

UNIÓN ESPAÑOLA VS. AUDAX ITALIANO (0100 KO):
Espanola are a short price for the win and whilst I can see what the basis for this is, the value for me lies in visiting side Audax’s ability to net…they are on a fine run and haven’t failed to score in 10 consecutive games.
Even if I cross reference and include H2H’s into the equation, Audax have a 90% strike rate over the most recent 10 in terms of finding the net…prices are way too big here.

Liverpool expected to seal a deal for Croatian central defender Vida in the next 48 hours for 28 million from Besiktas..
Big signings. As for the goalkeeper, brilliant.
Makes a statement: ‘2018/2019 all business and we are going for it’.
It’s signings Liverpool need and it explains why the odds on Liverpool winning the title are dropping and City’s odds are rising,City were 4/7 now 4/6 expect that to rise before kick off,Liverpool were 5/1 now 4/1.,Man Utd 7/1.
It will certainly make things interesting. Will there be a settling in period? Will Man City start the season in the same manner as last season so everyone is playing catch up? Will Liverpool still have those dodgy early season defeats against mediocre opposition so they’re always playing catch-up?
Odense – Sonderjiski ,,1 / Home Win
4th place Djurgarden look well priced at Evens too a poor travelling Hacken that’s lost 5 of 7 on the road.
Sirius v AIK sees two teams meet that struggle too keep the back door shut. Sirius have 3 clean sheets in 14 outings while AIK have 2 in 13. Both too score looks good at 4/6.

Had an absolutely cracking day at the Open yesterday, thanks again to Mr F and the team.
Only thing that let me down yesterday was Koepka in the 2-balls…
My LA Galaxy tip also came in, unfortunately had Hearts as part of that line ?.
Onto today, one golfer has let each of my daily accas down, here’s hoping we can go one better:
Danny Willet
Chris Wood
Charley Hoffman
Jordan Speith
Acca pays 13.5-1 (Hills) 1pt
Hard to see past Speith but think there is value in both Kisner and Chappel 6-1 and 20-1 (got 26-1 with WH bet boost) so going 1pt each. Given Kisner is co-leader and Chappel 2 back (1 if he birdies the 1St) and they are behind the circus around Woods and not out with Speith, think they will quietly go about it in the front 9…
Here’s hoping for a cracking day 4. Good luck all ?
I agree about Spieth – has looked better each day and is putting so well.
Much will depend on the weather and if if gets windy late enough to allow someone to post a score early in the way Lawrie did in 1999.
But it’s not likely to be as bad as that day so Spieth for me.
Morning gents,
Decent Sunday card and torn between a few Icelandic selections and a later Chilean effort but have narrowed down the field to one game and two selections…
BREIDABLIK VS. FH (2015 KO):
I’ve written much about my penchant for Icelandic big-hitters FH’s inability to keep a clean sheet and, although they’ve had a solid start, that defensive flaw has never quite gone away.
They’ll be taking on a really impressive Breidablik side who, themselves, have started well with just one defeat on home soil and that to a Stjarnan side who look like prospective champions.
In 5 of FH’s last 6 Urvalsdeild games, there has been a minimum of 3 goals with both sides netting and I think that could well be where the value lies – H2H’s have seen btts and overs trap in 60% of the last 5 with btts getting the green light in around 65% of the last 11 over a 4 year spell.
Two selections to consider:

Morning gents
It’s Scotland and Norway for me today ??????????????????????????????????????
???????Dundee v Dunfermline ???????
Neil McCann’s men play their second match of the group stages having cruised to a 4-0 away win at Stirling Albion last weekend.
I’d say they have a strong starting 11 and despite a lot of Premiership clubs struggling in these early cup games I think Dundee who will be too strong for this Dunfermline side who lost 3-4 of their best players during the summer – take the Dee’s to win at a very generous price of odds against at home against a team the league below them. Sofia’s Moussa is Dundee’s biggest threat if they keep him fit he should hit 15+’goals for them
Next season , he scored two last week and is worth looking at FGS and anytime (5/1 & 7/5)
Back Dundee to win 13/12 (118Bet) (NAP)

Waterford V Shamrock Rvs 3.00
A real 6 pointer today. Waterford win they go 10pts clear of Rovers in 3rd and Europe beckons which would be a huge achievement for a team that just got promoted.
Their home form has been excellent with just the one defeat whilst Rovers have struggled on the road with just 2 wins from 12.
Rovers also played 120mins on Thursday in the Europa league and fatigue must be a factor.
Rovers have also struggled with goals away from home but they haven’t conceded many either, 7 for 12 against and only 3 games have gone over 2.5 and none of the last 5.
Waterford DNB 5/6
Waterford win U2.5 15/4 small stake

Off to Chile, hopefully with some of the winnings from Paraguay. Again, head to head records and recent form point to goals.
***Uni de Chile v Hauchipato OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.8***
13/15 meetings have seen Over 2.5 Goals – that’s 87% of the matches that have done so. Most recent was a 1-0 but I sense that can be ignored here.
Recently both teams have played Chilean Cup games whilst league on a break. 5/6 Uni de Chile games went Over 2.5 and they scored 2+ each time. Hauchipato’s Cup games saw 4/6 games go over 2.5 Goals.
In the league. 6/7 Uni de Chile homes gone Overs and it’s sane for the away side.
Uni de Chile have Pinilla (ex Hearts?) now up front for them. 7 goals in 10 games. He’s massively experienced in Serie A. They’ve also Beausejour (ex Birmingham and Wigan and Chile international). Pizzaro, Jaro, Rodriguez other excellent players all be it old but played in Italy.
Very confident of 3+ match goals here. 3-1 or 2-1 Win for home side
There’s the 3rd in Iceland to cap off a good weekend – 7out of 8 winners since Friday – shame no 8th with the 30/1 falling 2 goals shy ?
